Fantastic Kotor City Tour
Fantastic 1.5-hour city tour with Bruna. We've taken tours all over Europe, and she was one of the most knowledgeable guides we've had. She was patient and worked well with our 4 children (ages 10 to 20). Gave us a wonderful overview (something most guides miss) of Kotor and Montenegro and had answers to all of our questions. Thank you Bruna!

Fun day with Bojana
Bojana gave us a great overview of Kotor and the maritime museum. She is actually the wife of a ship captain! Good tour and guide.
Response from the operator: Dear Traveler, Thank you for your wonderful review! We are delighted to hear that you enjoyed your tour of Kotor and the Maritime Museum with Bojana. Her passion for the city's rich maritime heritage, combined with her personal connection to the seafaring tradition, certainly adds a unique perspective to the experience. We truly appreciate your kind words and are glad that Bojana helped make your visit both enjoyable and informative. We hope to welcome you back to Montenegro again soon! Excellent tour!
Bruna has lived in Kotor all her life, so could tell us not only the history but about everyday life today. She was engaging and informative, and helped us to explore the hidden nooks and crannies of her city. Communication was clear and we found her without a problem. She also gave us a hint to watch as our cruise ship left the Bay of Kotor through the Chains, as it might be a tight fit!
Response from the operator: Dear Traveler, Thank you for your wonderful review! We are delighted to hear that you enjoyed discovering Kotor with Bruna. As a lifelong resident of the city, she loves sharing not only Kotor's fascinating history but also insights into everyday life that help visitors experience the destination from a local perspective. We're pleased that you found the meeting arrangements and communication clear, and that Bruna was able to show you some of Kotor's hidden corners and lesser-known stories. We also love that her tip about watching your cruise ship navigate through the narrow passage at the entrance to the Bay of Kotor added an extra memorable moment to your visit! Thank you for choosing us, and we hope to welcome you back to Montenegro again soon. Kind regards, Miro & Sons Team

Interesting and Helpful
Doing a tour instead of just walking around made it much more meaningful! Miroslav shared with us that he was new, and we never would have known – he was like an old pro! Well-prepared, organized, knowledgeable, and thoughtful. (In fact, a couple overheard him and asked if they could join the tour. He handled it graciously – which I appreciated since we had booked a private tour - although that said much about how impressed they were with what they heard!) And at the end, I had trouble getting Internet access, and he actually called our boat tour and walked us over there. He went above and beyond!
Response from the operator: Dear Traveler, Thank you so much for your thoughtful and detailed review. We are truly delighted to hear that the tour made your visit to Kotor more meaningful and memorable. Your kind words about Miroslav mean a great deal to us. We are especially happy to hear that his professionalism, knowledge, organization, and thoughtful approach made such a positive impression. He will be very encouraged to know that, even as a newer guide, he delivered such an outstanding experience. We also greatly appreciate your recognition of the extra care he showed in helping you reconnect with your boat tour afterward. Providing genuine hospitality and making our guests feel comfortable and cared for is something we value deeply. Thank you once again for choosing us for your private tour. We hope to have the pleasure of welcoming you back to Montenegro again in the future! Kind regards, Miro & Sons

Why this scores 80
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Private Kotor Walking Tour - Rick Steves Recommended: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Kotor.
How much does Private Kotor Walking Tour - Rick Steves Recommended cost?
+
Prices start at $65 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Kotor usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Private Kotor Walking Tour - Rick Steves Recommended take?
+
Plan for about 1.5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Kotor is not rushed.
Is Private Kotor Walking Tour - Rick Steves Recommended worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 80 out of 100, which we label "Exceptional". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 71 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Kotor, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Private Kotor Walking Tour - Rick Steves Recommended?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Private Kotor Walking Tour - Rick Steves Recommended suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 1.5-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Private Kotor Walking Tour - Rick Steves Recommended?
+
Around 25 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Kotor can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Kotor and add a light layer if any part of the 1.5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Private Kotor Walking Tour - Rick Steves Recommended start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Kotor within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Kotor?
+
On Outty we rank every Kotor experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Great Montenegro Tour-Lovcen NP,Mausoleum Lovcen,River of Crnojevic,Sveti Stefan, Kotor Bay Escape: Blue Cave, Beach & Swimming Time, Exclusive Blue Cave Kotor Swim, Mamula&Lady of the Rock 3 Hour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Kotor?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Kotor?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
