Beautiful and scenic… alpine coaster concept needs rethinking.
Amazing place and please visit when you are in its proximity. Stunning sunset and, in the summer, a nice cooldown when it is 30+ at the sea. The alpine coaster is nice and recommended. But… their ‘priority lane’ kills the concept. It is slightly embarassing that they confuse the concepts of ‘priority lane’ (that gives priority to a defined, limited amount of people like during plane boarding) and ‘fast track’ that allows a higher cycle time for those that pay more (e.g. two people with fast track vs. one with a normal entry pass. Priority lane with an unlimited amount of visitors buying a priority pass makes the others wait for three hours to get in. A broken system, as the only way to get a bearable waiting time this way is everybody buying a priority pass… I truly rest my case. It lead to people vocally protesting and intervention of the security guards. Not something you are waiting for on your holidays! The staff’s remark that the concept can be explained by the organisation running it wanting to earn as much money as possible was just topping off the comedy. If that is the objective, just skip the concept and double the price for all, I would say. Everybody happy.

How many days do you need in Kotor?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
