Mary was such an awesome tour guide and our captain Irea was also awesome

If you’re looking for the giant tour groups with matching wristbands and 47 strangers, this is not your tour. If you’re looking for a relaxed, private snorkeling experience with genuinely wonderful people, book this one immediately. Maria and our captain were fantastic. Within minutes they had us completely at ease, and the entire experience felt like spending the morning on a boat with friends who happened to know all the best snorkeling spots. One small tip: when you arrive at the marina, don’t panic if you don’t see them right away. Walk left before you get to Cabo Adventures and you’ll find their shop tucked back just to the left. We almost walked right past it. The snorkeling was incredible, the boat was perfect for just the two of us, and there wasn’t a single moment where we felt rushed or herded from place to place. The only downside? Maria has now ruined all future snorkeling tours for us because our expectations are impossibly high. We’d book with Cabo Private Guide again in a heartbeat.

Response from the operator: This review just put the biggest smiles on all our faces! Thank you for capturing the exact vibe we strive for every single day. No herds of strangers here—just a perfect private boat day with incredible snorkeling! We are thrilled that Maria and the captain made you feel right at home. We also appreciate you helping out future travelers with the directions to our tucked-away spot in the marina. Maria is super proud of her new reputation as a tour-spoiler, and we would absolutely love to have you back out on the water with us next time you're in Cabo!

    Just what we needed

It was great to have our own boat with just our family, and they accommodated what we wanted to do (which was snorkel by El Arco and Pelican Rock. Weather was 90⁰. Water was warm enough we didn't need wetsuits (but they brought them just in case). They even had a little wetsuit for my 2 year old grand daughter. She didn't like the mask, but she got in and swam in the ocean for the first time in her life. Morgane was a knowledgeable guide and pointed out cool sea creatures in the rocks and reef. All around relaxing day. Even went for a ride to see Jeff Bezos cliff mansion. Ha ha! We felt like we got our money's worth. Great day!

Response from the operator: We truly appreciate your kind words! Providing a private, customizable boat experience for families is exactly what we strive for. It’s great to hear that the conditions at El Arco were perfect for snorkeling without wetsuits, but we’re happy our team was ready with gear for everyone, including the youngest explorer! Thank you for recommending us, and we'd love to welcome you back for another relaxing day in the sun!

    Incredible first dive experience

My first dive experience was incredible thanks to Morgane. She was knowledgeable, patient, and fun! My partner (who is certified) and I had an amazing time and were able to experience the beauty of Cabo’s ocean life because of her. Highly recommend her services.

Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your kind words! I’m so happy your first dive was such a great experience — it was a pleasure sharing Cabo’s ocean life with you both. Hope to see you back underwater again soon! 🌊💙

    Fun dives

Great Day Diving with Cesar and Nikki. Captain Charlie was excellent as well. Professional and fun. Corals, eels, big white tip shark, and inquisitive eagle rays. Gracias.

Response from the operator: Super thrilled to read you got the reef sharks! Cabo can surprise you. I'll pass your wonderful comments to Nikki and Cesar!

Great Private Snorkel Trip in Cabo

We had a fantastic trip with Cabo Private Guide. Xo and Miguel assured that we had a wonderful and safe experience. After snorkeling with Cabo Private Guide I can’t imagine going on one of the typical group tours. Our multi-generational family of ten had the boat completely to ourselves, which allowed us to stay on our own schedule. Xo was great in the water and showed us lots of things we would have missed on our own. Miguel deftly handled the boat and positioned us for some great photos at the arch. They were very accommodating of one of our family members who chose not to snorkel. We would definitely go out with them again.

Response from the operator: Thank you very much for your beautiful 5-star review. We are delighted that you enjoyed your tour with Xo and Miguel! We will love to take back in another sea activity, whether snorkeling or diving!

Private Guided Snorkeling in Cabo San Lucas: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Los Cabos.

How much does Private Guided Snorkeling in Cabo San Lucas cost?

    +

Prices start at $575 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Los Cabos usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Private Guided Snorkeling in Cabo San Lucas take?

    +

Plan for about 3 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Los Cabos is not rushed.

Is Private Guided Snorkeling in Cabo San Lucas worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 60 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.9/5 across 28 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Los Cabos, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Private Guided Snorkeling in Cabo San Lucas?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Private Guided Snorkeling in Cabo San Lucas suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 3-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Private Guided Snorkeling in Cabo San Lucas?

    +

Around 10 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Los Cabos can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Los Cabos and add a light layer if any part of the 3-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Private Guided Snorkeling in Cabo San Lucas start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Los Cabos within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Los Cabos?

    +

On Outty we rank every Los Cabos experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Ziplining and UTV Desert Adventure from Los Cabos, Cabo 4x4 ATV Tour with Tequila Tasting and Mexican Buffet Lunch, Cabo Beach Camel Ride, Mexican Buffet and Tequila Tasting. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Los Cabos?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Los Cabos?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
