    Fabulous experience!

The tour operator gave us information prior to departure date, which was very helpful plus we needed to make a change and they were fabulous and very quick to replay and give options. The guide, Joe was knowledgeable, fun, and accommodated chances since it was private and only the 2 of us. Definitely recommend this group.

    Fabulous tour operator

Great experience from being contacted in advance from tour operator with changes and details. Our guide Joe was knowledgeable and allowed us to make some tweaks since it was a private tour. Definitely, would recommend them.

    The Best Day

We loved seeing London with Tom. He was friendly, funny, super knowledgeable and young! We saw every corner of London and more than we could ever have found on our own, he even found us an authentic tea shop and introduced us to his market stall "mates". Top marks for an awesome day with an awesome guide!

    Buyer beware

I paid $1275USD for a private full day tour of London for my family of 6 including my 85 year old parents. The ad showed a Mercedes Sprinter van, they asked for the pick-up hotel and time which we provided. On the day of the tour our guide arrived at our hotel and asked us if we were ready to begin our full day walking tour of London. When we told the guide that we had booked a private tour in a van he replied, “that’s usually what happens but today the company told him it was a walking tour and no vans were available.” We call the tour operator who told us “that it was a walking tour” when I asked were in the ad did it specify a walking tour she was unable to provide an answer other than she would have her manager call me. They did not. Their ad clearly showed a Mercedes van and while it may not have explicitly said your by van, it did elude to that. It is clearly a case of false advertising. We cancelled the tour before it began and asked American Express to refund the charge. I am very upset that our plans for the day were ruined by an unscrupulous predatory tour operator and aviator should immediately remove them from their site or demand that they are clear in their ad. Even our hotel concierge said that $1275USD would not be an appropriate fee for anything other than by van even during peak season.

Response from the operator: Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review. We are saddened to hear you were disappointed with your booking experience. We understand you are frustrated that you booked the wrong tour - we offer driving tours and guide only tours. You selected the guide only tour which has a lower price. There is no photo of a Mercedes Sprinter or any vehicle on any of our tour pages and never has been - perhaps you have confused us with another company. In addition, nowhere in the tour description does it indicate or imply that a vehicle is included. When our guide arrived to pick you up, we understand you were angry that he did not have a vehicle with him. You did not want to do the tour, you sent the guide away and asked for a full refund. It is clear you were upset with the rate you had paid and were impatient on the phone with our colleague. Rather than asking us to help out for your mistake, you insisted that our tour description and price somehow indicated there was a vehicle and that it was our fault that you were expecting one. Under these circumstances we were not able to issue you a full refund for cancelling the tour when the guide showed up and I understand this has frustrated you further. We are saddened that anyone should be upset after an experience with us and it is unfortunate that you were unable to join us and enjoy the tour you had booked. We wish you well for future travels and would advise for future bookings to read the tour description and inclusions/exclusions to ensure you are booking the right tour for your needs and budget.

    Alex Rocks!

We loved covering so much of London with Alex and his knowledge of the sites and the history. We saw most of the Must See London sites and look forward to a return to see more. It was a delightful sunny day to tour London on the Tube and on foot! Strongly recommend this if your time is limited and you want to see as much as possible in 8 hours!

Private Full-Day London Tour by Foot & Public Transport: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for London.

How much does Private Full-Day London Tour by Foot & Public Transport cost?

    +

Prices start at $695 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in London usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Private Full-Day London Tour by Foot & Public Transport take?

    +

Plan for about 6 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in London is not rushed.

Is Private Full-Day London Tour by Foot & Public Transport worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 50 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.5/5 across 8 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in London, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Private Full-Day London Tour by Foot & Public Transport?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Private Full-Day London Tour by Foot & Public Transport suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 6-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Private Full-Day London Tour by Foot & Public Transport?

    +

Around 3 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in London can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in London and add a light layer if any part of the 6-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Private Full-Day London Tour by Foot & Public Transport start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central London within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in London?

    +

London's best attractions split cleanly: the museums are free and need no booking, so the paid market is about views, theatre and getting out of the city for a day. That makes value scoring unusually important here, and the Outty Ranking penalises anything charging premium prices for access you could get for nothing. On Outty we rank every London experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Soho Music & Historic Pubs Tour, London Small Group Tour of Historical Pubs, The Great British Rock and Roll Walking Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit London?

    +

May to September for long evenings, December for the Christmas markets. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in London?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
