Snapper fun trip!
We had an amazing trip out with captain Chris. We were inundated with Snapper. We popped the line in, and 30 seconds later we had another 4. We probably caught about 21 each, and there were six of us! This was our third time and still a huge amount of fun. rebook next month again.
Response from the operator: We’re thrilled you had another incredible trip with Captain Chris! 🎣 The snapper action sounds nonstop, with six anglers catching an amazing number of fish throughout the day. We love hearing that your third trip was just as exciting as the first, and we can’t wait to welcome you back again next month! 🐟

Just 2 word, "Enjoy It"
Great 4 hours of fishing with Captain Brett. five of us (family) in total were on the boat, and we caught over 25 Snook, yellowtail, jack crevalle, and Red Snapper. It was my first time fishing. Quite simple, but there is an art to it. Capatin gave a demo of how it should be done before we started. excellent value for each person, especially when you catch your own hand! Will try the deep-sea fishing when I'm next in FL... enjoy; it's great fun for all the family.
Response from the operator: Thanks for joining us for your first fishing adventure! 🎣 Captain Brett made sure your family had a fun and successful four-hour trip, with over 25 catches including snook, yellowtail, jack crevalle, and red snapper. We’re glad his guidance helped everyone enjoy the experience, and we hope to welcome you back for a deep-sea adventure on your next visit to Florida! 😊

Family fun!
Our first-ever family fishing trip (Mum, Dad, and 2 teenagers...) was our best. Fort Lauderdale holiday outing! Captain Brett supplied everything we needed, gave us a lesson, and then found the fish. We caught beautiful snook. Can't recommend this charter enough. Thanks, Brett!
Response from the operator: Thanks for making your first family fishing trip part of your Fort Lauderdale holiday! 🎣 Captain Brett helped everyone feel confident with great instruction, quality equipment, and a successful day catching beautiful snook. We’re thrilled this became the highlight of your vacation and appreciate the recommendation. 😊

A fantastic morning fishing
What a great 4 hours of fishing for Tarpon. We have just finished an awesome trip with captain nick. We caught so many Tarpon this morning and enjoyed the views of Fort Lauderdale at the same time. Thank you to nick for a great time. We will definitely do this again on our next visit.
Response from the operator: A memorable Fort Lauderdale tarpon adventure with Captain Nick! 🎣 We’re excited to hear you enjoyed the four-hour trip, caught plenty of tarpon, and took in the beautiful views along the way. Captain Nick will be happy to know he helped make your day on the water so special. We look forward to welcoming you back on your next visit! 😊

I like this 6hr trip very much.
We all had a great time on the fishing trip. The kids caught 18 fish (Jack Crevalle, red snapper, and Tarpon) between them and were very happy (we put one back). Captain Nick was friendly and helpful too. We’d definitely use them again. Thanks for a great trip. 😊
Response from the operator: Thank you for the wonderful review! Seeing the kids reel in 18 fish, including jack crevalle, red snapper, and tarpon, must have made for an exciting day on the water. 🐟 We're glad Captain Nick helped make the experience fun and memorable for everyone, and it's great to hear the catch-and-release added to the adventure too. We truly appreciate your kind words and look forward to welcoming your family back for another great trip. 🎣

Why this scores 76
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Private Fort Lauderdale Inshore Fishing Charters: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Fort Lauderdale.
How much does Private Fort Lauderdale Inshore Fishing Charters cost?
+
Prices start at $200 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Fort Lauderdale usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Private Fort Lauderdale Inshore Fishing Charters take?
+
Plan for about 4 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Fort Lauderdale is not rushed.
Is Private Fort Lauderdale Inshore Fishing Charters worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 76 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.9/5 across 54 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Fort Lauderdale, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Private Fort Lauderdale Inshore Fishing Charters?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Private Fort Lauderdale Inshore Fishing Charters suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 4-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Private Fort Lauderdale Inshore Fishing Charters?
+
Around 19 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Fort Lauderdale can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Fort Lauderdale and add a light layer if any part of the 4-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Private Fort Lauderdale Inshore Fishing Charters start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Fort Lauderdale within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Fort Lauderdale?
+
Fort Lauderdale sells canal and Millionaire's Row boat cruises, Everglades airboat trips, snorkel and dive charters on the reef, and Miami and Key West day trips. Boat size and reef conditions drive the quality of the water tours. On Outty we rank every Fort Lauderdale experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include 1-Hour Interactive Pirate Cruise (arrive 30 minutes early), Fort Lauderdale Segway Tour, Half-day Everglades National Park Tour and 1-Hour Air Boat Ride. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Fort Lauderdale?
+
November to April, with warm water year round. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Fort Lauderdale?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
