It's worth every penny over any other tour!
Much more ecologically sustainable and connected to preserving the land than likely any of the other tours out there. Armando was our tour guide who is so knowledgeable and sweet. I really appreciated his insight into the indigenous practices & customs as well as his depth of knowledge around the medicinal and herbal uses of the flora. Yes ofcourse the alligators were a treat but we were so lucky to also see the babies during hatching season, the crocodile, Frederick, and have the river dolphins jump around and play with us (the manatees were hiding). The museum of the everglades was a lucky detour because we had time. So, yes August might be hot (but manageable with protection) and worth it! Also as everyone said the food (Mahi mahi sandwich) is so delicious too!
Response from the operator: Wow thank you for this amazingly detailed review! We so appreciate you including just how specific your guide's knowledge is, and how much wildlife you saw, sounds like you saw a lot! Haha, yes, Fred the crocodile is the best. Come again anytime, it;s our pleasure! Thanks again for coming!

Awesome
We had an awesome day touring the Everglades! This tour was an immersive experience! We visted all the various ecosystems and saw a very diverse range of wildlife including alligators, dolphins, and birds. Our tour guide, Ryan, was very knowledgeable in both local nature and history. He went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable with snacks, water, sunscreen, bug spray, ponchos, and just about anything you might need. (Trust me when I tell you that you will need the bug spray and sunscreen!) We also appreciated that the tour included local businesses in providing boat rides and lunch. Lunch at Jo'anie's was delicious. This was an experience we will always remember and one of the highlights of our trip!
Response from the operator: Thank you for coming and for writing a review of our tour! We appreciate you detailing all the aspects of your day! Yes, this time of year, the sunscreen and sometimes bug spray are more necessary. Thank you for mentioning your tour guide as well, we're happy you got to see lots of animals! Thanks again for coming on our tour!

Why this scores 91
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Everglades National Park Biologist Led Adventure: Cruise, Hike + Airboat: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Fort Lauderdale.
How much does Everglades National Park Biologist Led Adventure: Cruise, Hike + Airboat cost?
+
Prices start at $269 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Fort Lauderdale usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Everglades National Park Biologist Led Adventure: Cruise, Hike + Airboat take?
+
Plan for about 9.5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Fort Lauderdale is not rushed.
Is Everglades National Park Biologist Led Adventure: Cruise, Hike + Airboat worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 91 out of 100, which we label "90+ Club". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.9/5 across 749 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable most highly reviewed in Fort Lauderdale, and how flexible the cancellation terms are. Scoring 90 or above puts it in the Outty 90+ Club, the top tier of everything we rank.
Can I cancel or reschedule Everglades National Park Biologist Led Adventure: Cruise, Hike + Airboat?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Everglades National Park Biologist Led Adventure: Cruise, Hike + Airboat suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 9.5-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Everglades National Park Biologist Led Adventure: Cruise, Hike + Airboat?
+
Around 262 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Fort Lauderdale can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Fort Lauderdale and add a light layer if any part of the 9.5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Everglades National Park Biologist Led Adventure: Cruise, Hike + Airboat start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Fort Lauderdale within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Fort Lauderdale?
+
Fort Lauderdale sells canal and Millionaire's Row boat cruises, Everglades airboat trips, snorkel and dive charters on the reef, and Miami and Key West day trips. Boat size and reef conditions drive the quality of the water tours. On Outty we rank every Fort Lauderdale experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include 1-Hour Interactive Pirate Cruise (arrive 30 minutes early), Fort Lauderdale Segway Tour, Half-day Everglades National Park Tour and 1-Hour Air Boat Ride. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Fort Lauderdale?
+
November to April, with warm water year round. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Fort Lauderdale?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
