Mike is a Great Guide and the Segways are a Fun Ride!
Mike was our guide and he was very knowledgeable about the political, architectural and horticultural history of Fort Lauderdale. We really enjoyed our ride with him and appreciated his thoughtfulness in regards to bathroom and foot breaks. TY Mike!

The time of our lives!
My family and I had the time of our lives. Our tour with Micheal was beyond outstanding. He gave us so much information about Ft. Lauderdale. He's a very entertaining and knowledgeable guide, we felt like we were in good hands. He was always watching out for our safety and was making sure our group was ok at all times. If you're visiting South Florida, please book a tour with this company and specifically ask for Micheal. He was the best! He really did work hard for us and we appreciate him so much! These large companies really don't tip their guides, so l make sure to tip them myself with cash. Micheal was outstanding! When we come back to Florida, we will come back to book another family tour. It will be the highlight of our future vacations. It was so much fun! Please tip your guide well, they really work hard to give you an amazing time!

Inattentive tour guide, twilight ride in an unfamiliar area,
Second time. First was excellent. this time i brought my 2 friends from NY. My best friend for 40 years fell withing the first 10 min of learning. he was unsure of what to do when turning, got a bit scared and tried to get off the segway. He fell, no injuries except bruised ego. Then on the return trip later, the light had faded and the area by the roundabout has a lip or step if you're not careful. He did not see the lip, and John the tour guide was not closeby since another of out segways had the battery die during the ride and he was bringing it to the business by hand. My friend has neck and shoulder and knee pain and had to ice and take advil. He's still hurting. The tour guide should have been watching him more closely since he had already fallen, It was a disappointing end to an otherwise enjoyable trip caused by a sequence of events which were not anticipated. Perhaps d/c twilight tours as the visibility in a strange area is a serious issue with non seasoned riders. Also the tour guide wanted to let us know immediately that there was a 20% gratuity and asked if we were paying cash or card. Not the experience we had hoped for.
Response from the operator: Thank you for coming back to Segway Fort Lauderdale and for bringing your friends from NY. We’re sorry your second experience didn’t live up to the excellent first experience you had with us, and we hope your friend is feeling better. Safety is always our top priority. Every tour begins with hands-on training to make sure guests are comfortable before heading out. Your guide has been with us full-time for four years and has consistently received 5-star feedback from our guests, so we’re disappointed this particular experience didn’t meet expectations. Unfortunately, the unexpected battery issue with another Segway also required the guide to temporarily divide his attention. We appreciate your comments regarding the evening tour. Our night tours are actually very popular, and Downtown Fort Lauderdale, Las Olas and the Riverwalk are well lit. We specifically offer this unique evening experience so guests have the opportunity to enjoy the ride, waterfront and city lights without being out in the blistering Florida sun. For many of our guests, that’s one of the reasons they choose the night tour. We also wanted to clarify that the 20% gratuity for night tours is disclosed in the TripAdvisor booking details and again in the confirmation email, and is collected at check-in. We truly appreciate your feedback and especially appreciate that you enjoyed your first tour enough to return with friends. We’re sorry this visit ended on a disappointing note and wish your friend a quick recovery. Jon R. | Manager Segway Fort Lauderdale (954)304-5746

Why this scores 92
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Fort Lauderdale Segway Tour: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Fort Lauderdale.
How much does Fort Lauderdale Segway Tour cost?
+
Prices start at $69 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Fort Lauderdale usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Fort Lauderdale Segway Tour take?
+
Plan for about 1.5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Fort Lauderdale is not rushed.
Is Fort Lauderdale Segway Tour worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 92 out of 100, which we label "90+ Club". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.9/5 across 1,074 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable most popular in Fort Lauderdale, and how flexible the cancellation terms are. Scoring 90 or above puts it in the Outty 90+ Club, the top tier of everything we rank.
Can I cancel or reschedule Fort Lauderdale Segway Tour?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Fort Lauderdale Segway Tour suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 1.5-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Fort Lauderdale Segway Tour?
+
Around 376 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Fort Lauderdale can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Fort Lauderdale and add a light layer if any part of the 1.5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Fort Lauderdale Segway Tour start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Fort Lauderdale within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Fort Lauderdale?
+
Fort Lauderdale sells canal and Millionaire's Row boat cruises, Everglades airboat trips, snorkel and dive charters on the reef, and Miami and Key West day trips. Boat size and reef conditions drive the quality of the water tours. On Outty we rank every Fort Lauderdale experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include 1-Hour Interactive Pirate Cruise (arrive 30 minutes early), Half-day Everglades National Park Tour and 1-Hour Air Boat Ride, Private tour for 12 people on a 40 ft Yacht, Ft Lauderdale bay. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Fort Lauderdale?
+
November to April, with warm water year round. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Fort Lauderdale?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
