A great tour and a great tour guide

Ryan was very informative and fun to be with . He had all sorts of history facts that kept us wanting more. Viator rated this tour restrictive of all people with walking/mobility/wheelchairs. I did have a transport chair because of impending knee surgery but did not bring it on the tour. After taking the tour I realized I could have been pushed around and it would have made it easier. The food was quite delicious and the varieties made it worthwhile. The food was served street side outside the restaurant. The area had quite a bit of history and the restaurants were fairly close together. Overall we thoroughly enjoyed the time and we're glad that we went on the tour! Thank you Ryan you made the day special!

Response from the operator: Having you with us was a pleasure! We hope the tour gave you some insight into the city that went beyond what you might find on a standard sightseeing route. We appreciate you choosing Secret Food Tours.

Great area to explore, learn and eat.

This is a fun tour to walk through a very interesting part of London. We made a few good stops, especially for bagels with salt beef. While the other stops were good, for the price we paid I thought we would have some different food options, especially since the area has such different ethnic representation. It was a lot of sweets. I liked the guide and felt he gave some good insight to the area and was knowledgeable. We were told to arrive 15 minutes early but he didn't appear until right at 11. I could have also done without some of his personal political comments. It just isn't necessary on a tour when people join from all over with all different perspectives. I have been on two other tours with this company and for London, I prefer the evening Soho Tour better. Overall, I think this is a good tour to take to explore the East End/Shoreditch and I would recommend it.

Response from the operator: Thank you for choosing us. Secret Food Tours is fortunate to welcome guests who place such value on discovering a city through its local character. We look forward to seeing you again!

Private East End Food Tour = Amazing!

Awesome tour! Been on many food tours and this one rates at the top. Ryan was our amazing, friendly, kind, knowledgeable, patient guide on the private London East End Food Tour and made our first day in the UK really memorable. Some food tours are just measley little tasters, but this was like lunch +++ with premium curated selections and unique east end choices. Without Ryan and Secret Food Tours we wouldn't have known the difference bewteen great fish & chips (Poppie's) and the so-so pub versions. We wouldn't have known about Humble Crumble...and all the others. Highly recommend Ryan and Secret Food Tours!

Response from the operator: Your comments are truly valued by our team. We are pleased to know the experience provided such an enjoyable and worthwhile part of your visit. Secret Food Tours sends our thanks!

Private East End Food Tour: 7 Tastings with Bagels & Fish & Chips: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for London.

How much does Private East End Food Tour: 7 Tastings with Bagels & Fish & Chips cost?

    +

Prices start at $105 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in London usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Private East End Food Tour: 7 Tastings with Bagels & Fish & Chips take?

    +

Plan for about 3 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in London is not rushed.

Is Private East End Food Tour: 7 Tastings with Bagels & Fish & Chips worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 82 out of 100, which we label "Exceptional". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 270 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in London, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Private East End Food Tour: 7 Tastings with Bagels & Fish & Chips?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Private East End Food Tour: 7 Tastings with Bagels & Fish & Chips suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 3-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Private East End Food Tour: 7 Tastings with Bagels & Fish & Chips?

    +

Around 95 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in London can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in London and add a light layer if any part of the 3-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Private East End Food Tour: 7 Tastings with Bagels & Fish & Chips start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central London within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in London?

    +

London's best attractions split cleanly: the museums are free and need no booking, so the paid market is about views, theatre and getting out of the city for a day. That makes value scoring unusually important here, and the Outty Ranking penalises anything charging premium prices for access you could get for nothing. On Outty we rank every London experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Soho Music & Historic Pubs Tour, London Small Group Tour of Historical Pubs, The Great British Rock and Roll Walking Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit London?

    +

May to September for long evenings, December for the Christmas markets. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in London?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
