From there we will walk through a 406ft (124 meter) long tunnel, leading us directly to the original WWII brass elevator that will transport you up through the heart of the Kehlstein mountain for another 406ft, straight into the Eagle’s Nest itself. After a tour through the Eagle’s Nest, you will have some free time to enjoy the view or have refreshments.

Private Tour
A great day with Carlos. He was very accommodating and had us bring our luggage along so we could meet friends at the end of the tour. The brand new luxury car had a screen which allowed him to play THE SOUND OF MUSIC so he could point out all the scenes we saw in real life. We went to several sites a tour bus would not be visiting. Carlos’s knowledge of the WWII history was vast and our tour of THE EAGLE’S NEST AND BUNKERS was excellent. We could have spent hours at the site but Carlos gave us a concise overview for sure. A long and interesting day. And Carlos was a fun and engaging guide.

Amazing Eagles Nest and Sound of Mudic tour
Carlos was an amazing tour guide!!! He knows so much about the history of both the Eagles Nest and the Sound of Music. He’s also very personable and made the whole tour very comfortable. By the end we felt like lifelong friends! Would definitely recommend this 8 hour tour.
