Great experience
Such a great experience! We had the best teacher, Buster, who made it feel easy to pick up the basics and was really fun to work with. Would definitely recommend!
Response from the operator: We're delighted to hear how much you enjoyed your DJ lesson experience at London Sound Academy! We hope to see you again for more lessons.

The best in London, can’t recommend this place enough ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Learning to DJ at LSA was the best decision I’ve ever made! I’ve always been a massive music head and wanted to learn to DJ so took the plunge after covid. I did the courses from the beginner to advanced with Tom (insta @duncan_thomas_music) and he was so amazing, cool, calm and such a Knowledgeable professional. He’s also a sick producer and vinyl DJ. I managed to finish the courses in just 7months. Classes are flexible so you can book them to suit your diary - perfect when u work full time. After learning about how a track is built I wanted to know more so decided to take the Ableton production course. I went for the group class every Sunday with Ollie (insta @ollierantdj ) also an amazing producer, digi and vinyl DJ. This was amazing! I left with an almost finished track and detailed course notes I have been using since. What I wasn’t ready for was the lifelong friends I have made along the way, fellow music heads with the same interests as me which has been invaluable. Since finishing the course we still link up and B2B, we even put on our first small event together. If you’re thinking of learning this is 1000% the BEST place to start. Oh yeah - AND when you finishe the DJ courses you can put your name down and get gig experience! Since graduating I have played at Horse & Groom in Shoreditch, EGG LDN and Ministry of Sound, twice in two different rooms! You can also book the amazing Tommy, the LSA photographer to get you those amazing shots for that all-important content (insta @lsa_djportraits ) can’t recommend this place enough it’s the best. All the tutors are lovely, the atmosphere is an absolute vibe, the studios are fully equipped with the latest gear, when u walk in you can just hear the bass of different lessons going on. It’s so so fun.

One of The Best Things I Have Ever Done
LSA is more than just DJ lessons. A lot more. Through my brilliant tutor James Wilson (Kieran) I went from being a novice bedroom DJ to a skilled, confident Dj playing at the Ministry of Sound in 1 year. I work full time so the ability to book 1:1 course lessons at different times was hugely helpful. There is a real sense of community and mutual support when you become an LSA Alumni. Quite simply it’s one of the best things I have done.

Awesome place/people & course
A couple of years I enrolled in LSA's DJ academy, starting at beginner and progressing all the way to elite. It was one of the best things I've ever done - both tutors on my journey (Ben & Kieran) were awesome. Both great teachers, really approachable and very patient! The whole setup/environment of the studios are super cool and as a result of the academy I've now played at Ministry of Sound and have other gigs on the horizon off the back of doing this course. Anyone looking to learn to DJ, I can't recommend LSA highly enough!!

Why this scores 59
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Private DJ Class: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for London.
How much does Private DJ Class cost?
+
Prices start at $100 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in London usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Private DJ Class take?
+
Plan for about 2 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in London is not rushed.
Is Private DJ Class worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 59 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 12 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in London, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Private DJ Class?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Private DJ Class suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 2-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Private DJ Class?
+
Around 4 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in London can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in London and add a light layer if any part of the 2-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Private DJ Class start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central London within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in London?
+
London's best attractions split cleanly: the museums are free and need no booking, so the paid market is about views, theatre and getting out of the city for a day. That makes value scoring unusually important here, and the Outty Ranking penalises anything charging premium prices for access you could get for nothing. On Outty we rank every London experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Soho Music & Historic Pubs Tour, London Small Group Tour of Historical Pubs, The Great British Rock and Roll Walking Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit London?
+
May to September for long evenings, December for the Christmas markets. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in London?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
