About this experience
A day dedicated to spirituality and medieval times. We start with Fatima, one of the most important shrines in Europe and its sanctuary, home of one of the largest pilgrimage centers in the world. From here we will depart to Obidos, a charming medieval town within walls, where we will have a chance to taste the typical liqueur of the region: the “Ginga” served in a glass of chocolate. Obidos is the best example of the medieval city in Portugal. As we enter its walls we go back in time. You will find ancient stone alleys, houses with white-painted secular facades, ever-active commerce, and countless churches built over the centuries. What you'll see and do
Fatima
The famous Marian Sanctuary of Fatima is without a doubt one of the most important pilgrimage centers in the world. Millions of people come here annually to pay homage to the three shepherd children who witnessed the apparitions of the Virgin Mary in the fields of “Cova da Iria”. Free time to attend Mass (optional), visit the Chapel of the Apparitions where you can see the image of the Virgin Mary. We will also visit the Basilica where we can find the tombs of Lucia, Jacinta and Francisco (the last two were canonized by Pope Francis on May 2017, thus becoming the youngest saints of the Catholic Church). As we continue, we will visit the modern church of the Blessed Trinity of Fatima, which seats 8,633 people and has an area of 40,000 square meters. The church was designed and projected by the Greek architect, Alexandros Tombazis. Time allowed for religious shopping (optional)

Valinhos Sanctuary
The village where the three shepherd children, Lucia, Jacinta and Francisco, were born and lived. Visit their family’s limestone houses. It use to be an isolated and poor area in the interior of Portugal but nonetheless very beautiful.

Obidos Village
The town of Obidos is an ancient Roman city that continued flourishing even after the fall of the empire due to the huge commercial activity through the sea port. During the Middle Ages, a wall was built around it after being conquered by the first king of Portugal, Afonso I. Obidos is the best example of a medieval village in Portugal. We go back in time as we walk through this walled town, with its narrow cobblestone alleys, houses with secular facades painted in white, a lively shopping area, and a number of churches that were built throughout the centuries. We get the sensation of the battles fought here for every square foot of land. We won’t leave without tasting the famous “Ginga de Obidos”, a local sweet liquor served on a small chocolate cup.

Fatima and Obidos with Premiere
We went with another couple and had a fabulous time. Jorge was very knowledgeable and was very friendly and accommodating. He is one of 200 master tour guides in Portugal. His English was excellent and he was well travelled around the world. It helps to have WhatsApp so you can contact him when you are ready to leave since parking is ridiculously hard. Fatima was much larger than we expected and very moving. We had a nice lunch in Obidos and walked on top of the wall. One of the best tour guides we’d ever had.
Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your review. It was a pleasure guiding you.

Why this scores 64
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Private day tour Fatima and Obidos from Lisbon: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Lisbon.
How much does Private day tour Fatima and Obidos from Lisbon cost?
+
Prices start at $80 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Lisbon usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Private day tour Fatima and Obidos from Lisbon take?
+
Plan for about 6 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Lisbon is not rushed.
Is Private day tour Fatima and Obidos from Lisbon worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 64 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.8/5 across 6 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Lisbon, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Private day tour Fatima and Obidos from Lisbon?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Private day tour Fatima and Obidos from Lisbon suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 6-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Private day tour Fatima and Obidos from Lisbon?
+
Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Lisbon can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Lisbon and add a light layer if any part of the 6-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Private day tour Fatima and Obidos from Lisbon start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Lisbon within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Lisbon?
+
On Outty we rank every Lisbon experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Lisbon City Center Tour - The Unmissable Lisbon, Sintra Private Trip from Lisbon Customizable Dreamlike Experience, True 4Hour Private Tuk Tuk Tour: Discover Lisbon with a Local!. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Lisbon?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Lisbon?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
