About this experience

Fatima is one of the largest pilgrimage centers in the world, built around the place where, in 1917, the Virgin Mary appeared to three shepherds. After visiting the Basilica where the three seers are buried, the chapel of apparitions and the modern Church of the Holy Trinity, we will have some free time to prayers or attend a celebration (optional). Shortly afterwards, the tour goes to Valinhos, the small village where the three young shepherds were born, and we will visit their homes, having the chance to see what the region’s houses looked like at the beginning of the XX century. Sinta - UNESCO World Heritage, has been the summer residence of the royal family since the fourteenth century. Sintra’s micro climate, where humidity predominates, helped the exuberant vegetation to thrive. It was often praised by the nineteenth-century romantic poets like Lord Byron. You will have the opportunity to visit one of the various Palaces of Sintra on this tour and taste the traditional sweets.

We will also visit the Basilica where we can find the tombs of Lucia, Jacinta and Francisco (the last two were canonized by Pope Francis on May 2017, thus becoming the youngest saints of the Catholic Church). As we continue, we will visit the modern church of the Blessed Trinity of Fatima, which seats 8,633 people and has an area of 40,000 square meters. The church was designed and projected by the Greek architect, Alexandros Tombazis. Time allowed for religious shopping (optional).

Pickup in Lisbon, half day tourist with drop off at the airport.

As it was my last day in Portugal, I requested for half day tour to Fatima then drop off at the airport. Jorge picked me up on time in a beautiful red Tesla. His knowledge of Fatima was amazing, I learned lots about customs and the stories. I felt very comfortable and never had to worry. Upon return to Lisbon, he dropped me off at the right entrance making for a successful trip. I would definitely recommend this company for any travels requirements. Thanks Jorge.

Response from the operator: You are very welcomed Lorraine. Thank you for your kind words.

Great experience in every way

This was probably the best guided tour experience we have had in the last 15 years. Vasco, our guide and driver, was outstanding. His knowledge of the country and key sites was fantastic. More importantly, we all knew he made us his priority. He made great suggestions to enhance the trip and was fun to be around. We highly recommend Vasco and the company (Premier Tours) for any trips one day or more in and around the Lisbon area.

Response from the operator: Dear Jeffry, Thank you so much for your review. Premiere Tours is indeed fortunate to have the best driver-guiding team in the country, Vasco included.

Private day tour Fatima and Sintra from Lisbon: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Lisbon.

How much does Private day tour Fatima and Sintra from Lisbon cost?

+

Prices start at $77 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Lisbon usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Private day tour Fatima and Sintra from Lisbon take?

+

Plan for about 6 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Lisbon is not rushed.

Is Private day tour Fatima and Sintra from Lisbon worth it?

+

It holds an Outty Ranking of 70 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.8/5 across 20 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Lisbon, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Private day tour Fatima and Sintra from Lisbon?

+

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Private day tour Fatima and Sintra from Lisbon suitable for kids and families?

+

The operator sets a minimum age of 3. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 6-hour running time when deciding.

How far in advance should I book Private day tour Fatima and Sintra from Lisbon?

+

Around 7 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Lisbon can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

+

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Lisbon and add a light layer if any part of the 6-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Private day tour Fatima and Sintra from Lisbon start and how do I get there?

+

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Lisbon within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Lisbon?

+

On Outty we rank every Lisbon experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Lisbon City Center Tour - The Unmissable Lisbon, Sintra Private Trip from Lisbon Customizable Dreamlike Experience, True 4Hour Private Tuk Tuk Tour: Discover Lisbon with a Local!. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Lisbon?

+

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Lisbon?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
