  3. After a buffet lunch (not included) is served, participate in a shaman-led Maya ritual in a temazcal, a sweat lodge that is considered a source of health and energy. After a cleansing ceremony, you will enter the temazcal and feel the heat of the volcanic rock glowing in the darkness. The aroma of herbs and copal allow you to feel at ease, purify the body, and create space to rid the spirit of negative energy. Using mud, honey, aloe vera, and refreshing teas, as well as songs and musical instruments, the temazcalero guides you through four intervals of increasing and decreasing heat by opening the door of the temazcal, allowing you to experience its curative powers. Following your 1.5-hour session, take a cold plunge and bite into fresh fruit, then relax on the return to your hotel.

Private tour

Having your own private tour guide was so nice and by far the best route to go. Our guide was Antonio (tony) and he was very knowledgable and experienced. The tulum ruins were beautiful but unfortanty the waves were rough so access to the beach was shut off. Still a great tour, we went mid day and it was pretty crowded.
