Exceptional Service!!!
A tour with Turismo Channel is a must when visiting Mexico! I was very skeptical on booking a private tour as it was my first time in Mexico however I can guarantee that they provide safe, reliable and friendly service. The process to book a private city tour of Tulum was simple, our tour guide arrived at our hotel right on time with a very clean and comfortable mini bus stocked cold beverages. Our first stop was by the famous letter of “Tulum” , and then we explored the hotel zone. Our tour guide even took us to enjoy some local tacos and to buy souvenirs in Playa Del Carmen. A major highlight of this tour would be the most beautiful photos and videos our tour guide took of us in Tulum!!! I will definitely recommend Turismo Channel to anyone visiting and will definitely be back in Cancún for another tour! 😊 Thank you Turismo Channel!

Homey private Tour with Chris
Chris was our guide and we specifically asked for him. He is such a down to earth family person. Hilarious , accommodating and also very knowledgeable. He lived in the US for awhile but is local to Playa del Carmen at this time. We felt like we had a personal friend showing us around. He goes the extra mile but most of all great conversationalist and fun. When we come back we would love to visit his hometown Oxaca with him. Very Highly recommended.

Incredible Day with an Awesome Guide
Had a very lovely day exploring Tulum with Oliver! I requested a solo tour since I'm travelling alone and I really wanted to explore Tulum before leaving Mexico. Even though it usually requires 4 people to book it, Vanessa at Turismo Channel was incredibly helpful and sweet and found a way for me to book this tour for just 1 person and only on 1 day's notice! Oliver arrived to pick me up from the hotel lobby right on time, with a super clean minibus that was stocked with water, sports drinks, and beer. He took me through all of the spots planned in the trip details and even made a stop along the way for me to buy souvenirs cause I requested it even though it wasn't part of the planned itinerary. He's super knowledgeable, and we had great conversations throughout the day. To top it all, he's an incredible photographer and took awesome photos and videos for me that will keep my Instagram looking cool for days to come! The stops along the tour really give you a taste of Tulum, from the archaeological zone to the hotel zone to downtown. Overall, an awesome day and definitely looking forward to doing more tours with Oliver and Turismo Channel when I return to Mexico again!

Amazing Tour + Tour Guide
My group attended this tour June 2022. Our tour guide was Oliver. The best parts of the tour were how knowledgeable Oliver was about the city of Tulum, how engaging he was with our group, took us to the popular tourist sites to take amazing pictures and videos, and took us to get great tasting tacos. Oliver opted to be our photographer and videographer - his pictures and videos were amazing and great quality. Oliver has lived in the area for 20 years so really knows his stuff. He gave us great recommendations for future trips and activities to do in Tulum and nearby cities. Oliver was punctual in picking us up from our Airbnb, he was patient in finding our Airbnb when I texted him the wrong location, and was accommodating with beverages. 10/10 would recommend. Tip: DOWNLOAD WHATSAPP TO COMMUNICATE VIA TEXT WITH YOUR TOUR GUIDE. Luckily I had WhatsApp on my phone ahead of time.

Why this scores 67
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Private City Tour Tulum: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Playa del Carmen.
How much does Private City Tour Tulum cost?
+
Prices start at $129 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Playa del Carmen usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Private City Tour Tulum take?
+
Plan for about 4 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Playa del Carmen is not rushed.
Is Private City Tour Tulum worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 67 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 16 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Playa del Carmen, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Private City Tour Tulum?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Private City Tour Tulum suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 4-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Private City Tour Tulum?
+
Around 6 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Playa del Carmen can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Playa del Carmen and add a light layer if any part of the 4-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Private City Tour Tulum start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Playa del Carmen within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Playa del Carmen?
+
On Outty we rank every Playa del Carmen experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include VIP Chichen Itza Private Tour, VIP Tulum Private Tour, Chichen Itza Private Tour VIP. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Playa del Carmen?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Playa del Carmen?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
