What you get

    About this experience

The Santiago region offers one of the most dramatic contrasts in Baja California Sur, where desert landscapes give way to freshwater springs, canyon ecosystems, and mountain-fed oases. Exploring the area by Jeep allows access to landscapes beyond the traditional tourist routes while providing a deeper understanding of the geology, ecology, and ranching heritage that continue to shape this region. The combination of off-road travel, hiking, swimming, and local culture creates a uniquely diverse Baja experience.

    Great waterfall experience with Maury.

Maury Sanchez was a knowledgeable, friendly, engaging guide. The trip started with pickup at our resort in an air conditioned van. We connected to an air conditioned well equipped jeep. We traveled to the mountains initially on the main road but quickly went off road. Travelled through Santiago with a brief stop at the site of the old mission. Arrived at the preserve where we did a short hike down to an amazing waterfall. We swam there for about an hour and surprisingly had the whole preserve to ourselves. Maury set up shade and took beautiful photos of my boyfriend and I swimming under the waterfall in this amazing place. After the refreshing swim, we traveled to a local restaurant for authentically prepared fresh fish. Don’t miss this amazing trip or this amazing guide!

Response from the operator: Thank you so much for sharing your wonderful experience! 🌟 We’re delighted to hear that your Jeep adventure with Maury was such a highlight. From the scenic off-road journey through Santiago to the refreshing swim at the waterfall and the authentic local meal it sounds like the perfect day! 🏞️💦🐟 Maury will be thrilled to know his knowledge, care, and photography skills made your trip extra memorable. 📸 Your kind words mean the world to us, and we’re so grateful for your recommendation. We hope to welcome you back soon for more adventures in Baja! Warm regards, High Tide Los Cabos Team

    A TRIP TO REMEMBER!

Thank you Maury! Without a great guide, the Jeep tour would’ve just been another ride in the back country, this time a desert. Yes, there were many things to see, and especially because we were there right after the hurricane passed and everything had come alive and was green! The tour does include a time for hiking, which is structured to what you the customer wants to do. The waterfall we hiked to, was strong and powerful because of the storm. It seemed that Maury was ready to talk about anything and do so very well. We learned about the area and the things that we were seeing, and then talked about a whole range of other wonderful subjects. The hours passed quickly, but we will remember this tour for a long time to come. Thank you, Maury and thank you everyone responsible for making this possible.

Response from the operator: Wow what an incredible review! 🌵🚙 We’re so happy to hear that your Jeep adventure with Maury turned into a trip to remember. It’s always special when nature shows off after the rain, and we’re thrilled you got to experience Baja at its greenest. Maury loves sharing not just the sights, but also the stories that bring them to life we’re so glad that came through. Thank you for trusting us with your adventure and for taking the time to share such kind words. We can’t wait to welcome you back for more off-road magic in Los Cabos! ✨ Warm regards, The High Tide Los Cabos Team 💙

    Highly recommended

Jose Luis was a fantastic guide for the day. From driving around some of the back roads in Baja to the hike in to the waterfall we had an amazing time. Driving down the sea of cortez with lunch in Cabo Pulmo was great. Highly recommended, my partner has never really driven off road and now I'm afraid we'll need a jeep.

Response from the operator: Thank you so much for sharing your adventure with us! 🚙🌵 We’re thrilled to hear you had such an amazing day exploring Baja with José Luis, from offroad driving to the waterfall hike and the beautiful Sea of Cortez. It sounds like the Jeep experience may have sparked a new passion! 😉 We’d love to welcome you back for more Baja adventures anytime. With appreciation, The High Tide Los Cabos Team 💙

Marco Polo is your guide to a wonderful adventure

Marco Polo was a fantastic guide and balanced our adventure with stories about local history, culture and environmental preservation. Los Arbolitos is a magical park that offered us the chance to swim in a real life aquarium. While the drive was bumpy we experienced glimpses into small towns all along our journey. Marco made our experience perfect providing snacks and cold waters. We finished the day at a sweet restaurant in Miraflores where we had delish fish tacos and passion fruit margaritas! This experience made me never want to do group trips again! This private tour was wonderful! Thank you Marco!

Response from the operator: Thank you so much for sharing this amazing review! 🌟🚙 We’re thrilled to hear your private tour with Marco Polo was such a perfect experience. He’s passionate about sharing the beauty of Baja from local history and culture to environmental preservation and it sounds like he made every moment special! 💙 Los Arbolitos truly is a magical spot, and we’re so glad you loved swimming in those crystal clear waters. The scenic drive through small towns, refreshing snacks and drinks, and ending the day with delicious fish tacos and passion fruit margaritas in Miraflores what an incredible way to experience authentic Baja! 🌮🍹 Thank you for choosing a private adventure with us we’d love to welcome you back for more unforgettable experiences in Los Cabos! Private Baja Jeep 4x4 Adventure Tour: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Cabo San Lucas.

How much does Private Baja Jeep 4x4 Adventure Tour cost?

    +

Prices start at $650 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Cabo San Lucas usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Private Baja Jeep 4x4 Adventure Tour take?

    +

Plan for about 6 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Cabo San Lucas is not rushed.

Is Private Baja Jeep 4x4 Adventure Tour worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 71 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 56 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Cabo San Lucas, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Private Baja Jeep 4x4 Adventure Tour?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Private Baja Jeep 4x4 Adventure Tour suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 6-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Private Baja Jeep 4x4 Adventure Tour?

    +

Around 20 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Cabo San Lucas can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Cabo San Lucas and add a light layer if any part of the 6-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Private Baja Jeep 4x4 Adventure Tour start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Cabo San Lucas within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Cabo San Lucas?

    +

On Outty we rank every Cabo San Lucas experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Humpback Whale Watching Tour in Cabo San Lucas, Cabo Desert Off-Road & Beach Horseback Combo and Tequila Tasting, Cabo All-Inclusive Private Beach Club with Open Bar and Buffet. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Cabo San Lucas?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Cabo San Lucas?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
