    Great transfer from Zurich airport

We are a family of 6 adults and had a great transfer from Zurich airport to Lauterbrunnen station with AlpTransfer on our way to Wengen. Philippe was a wonderful driver. He met us promptly, helped with our luggage and drove very safely through the mountains. His 8 seater van was extremely comfortable with plenty of room for all of us and our bags as well as two sets of skis. Many thanks Philippe and AlpTransfer.

Response from the operator: Dear customer, Thank you for your kind words! We're happy to know that you liked your transfer experience and that the driver made your journey pleasant and took care of your luggage with ease. We would be thrilled to be of service to you again in the future. Best regards, AlpTransfer Team

Be very aware of no refund policy for any changes at all

We booked this company for a private transfer from Zurich Airport to Lauterbrunnen. As with many airline issues this summer our flight was cancelled. After several hours of working with the airlines, we could not get a flight out until the following day. I contacted AlpTransfer as soon as I had our new flights. I advised them 7 hours prior to arrival of our original flight that we would not need the driver until the following day. I was told that the only way we could get a driver would be to forfeit our 417 dollars and rebook and pay again. It does say in the contract they need 24 hours notice to change. Honestly, how can you feel comfortable booking this service in this day and age. There are cancellations with airlines all over the place and unless you are 100% sure your flight will not be delayed, changed, or cancelled I would not recommend you book this service.

Response from the operator: Dear Customer, Greetings from AlpTransfer and thank you for the feedback. However, we would like to mention that your roundtrip was arranged successfully with us. Nevertheless, you must keep in mind while booking any service online you are considering and confirming the company's Terms and Conditions, especially the Cancellation policy. You were never been forced to book anything before knowledging the policy and obtaining your confirmation on it. In addition to the full description and information provided on our website, we can try to explain to you the reasons once again: Our free cancellation policy states on a notice of 24 hours prior to the booked service's pick-up and in your case, it was less than it as you already mentioned. This is a regular and main rule, that many worldwide companies use to insure service is organised appropriately by assigning and reserving the vehicle and driver during that time. Based on the above explanation, we hope we made clear the reason for the request to book a new transfer.

    Really good service

Really good service, although had to wait a bit at the airport but that was because I flight landed very early and we got through immigration and baggage claim really fast so cannot fault them for that.

Private Arrival Transfer: from Zurich Airport to Lauterbrunnen: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Zurich.

How much does Private Arrival Transfer: from Zurich Airport to Lauterbrunnen cost?

    +

Prices start at $444 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Zurich usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Private Arrival Transfer: from Zurich Airport to Lauterbrunnen take?

    +

Plan for about 2 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Zurich is not rushed.

Is Private Arrival Transfer: from Zurich Airport to Lauterbrunnen worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 43 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.2/5 across 5 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Zurich, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Private Arrival Transfer: from Zurich Airport to Lauterbrunnen?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Private Arrival Transfer: from Zurich Airport to Lauterbrunnen suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 2-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Private Arrival Transfer: from Zurich Airport to Lauterbrunnen?

    +

Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Zurich can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Zurich and add a light layer if any part of the 2-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Private Arrival Transfer: from Zurich Airport to Lauterbrunnen start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Zurich within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Zurich?

    +

On Outty we rank every Zurich experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Zurich Food Tour with 10 Local Delicacies, Cheeses & Chocolates, Private, excellent guided tour of Zurich (from CHF 21/pers.), Zürich Historic District Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Zurich?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Zurich?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
