Poor communication
Once I booked this transport company, I got an email saying to call them at least 48 hrs before the pick up to reconfirm. I did. I asked to be at the airport 3 hrs before my flight since it's an international flight. The lady on the phone confirmed and sent me a confirmation email regarding pick up time. The day of pick up, driver was 55 minutes late. When I called, lady on the phone said she had put the request in but the driver's must've not gotten the memo. When the driver finally arrived, he was hesitant to help with the luggages and the car smelled strongly of African spices. I hope this was a one time issue with this company
Response from the operator: We had received a booking scheduled for 3 hours before departure which was fine. Customer rang regarding booking wanting to arrive at the airport 2 hrs before departure. Therefore booking was admend to 04:20am pickup instead of 03:20am pickup. Customer rang again on the morning at 03:40am asking where taxi was and was advise that the pickup was schedulef for 04:20am as requested as flight was departing at 07:20am. Customer then reply that this was ment to be for 03:20am, we immidiately sent a driver out and told her it would be in 20mins. We applogise for any iinconvenient caused, but I guess there was a misunderstanding when customer rang with confirm pickup time. However she had arrived well in time to board her flight.

Driver showed up a few minutes late...

Driver showed up a few minutes late, can overlook this. We had 2 adults and 2 large suitcases which limo service said would be fine. Walked out to the car and it was an older well used Prius. We had to place 1 suitcase in the back seat as it would not fit in the trunk. Inside of the vehicle was filthy. The door gasket on the rear passenger door was falling off and I had the driver had to correct this before we left, as he was going to leave the gasket as is and listen to the door alarm ring all the way to London. On the way to the hotel the driver played music from his I phone, that was not appropriate as it contained political messages. My wife told the driver at one point to stop texting and pay attention to traffic. We got to the hotel, driver expected me to unload the suitcases which I eventually did. I expected a clean VW wagon as this is what was used in the ad and as this is what I was promised. Driver wore jeans etc. very very informal. Not a great start to out trip

Response from the operator: We are sorry but we do not do Limo and you might have sent this review to the wrong company and i am sorry for what you have experience from the company you booked with.

We got through Customs quicker than expected. Had to call vendor number to tell the driver to come inside. Other than that, a smooth pick up and transport to our hotel. The VW MPV was roomy and quiet. The driver was friendly and courteous.

Why this scores 39
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Private Arrival or Departure Transfer: London Heathrow Airport to Central London: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for London.
How much does Private Arrival or Departure Transfer: London Heathrow Airport to Central London cost?
+
Prices start at $268 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in London usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Private Arrival or Departure Transfer: London Heathrow Airport to Central London take?
+
Plan for about 1 hour from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in London is not rushed.
Is Private Arrival or Departure Transfer: London Heathrow Airport to Central London worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 39 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (3.2/5 across 5 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in London, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Private Arrival or Departure Transfer: London Heathrow Airport to Central London?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Private Arrival or Departure Transfer: London Heathrow Airport to Central London suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 1-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Private Arrival or Departure Transfer: London Heathrow Airport to Central London?
+
Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in London can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in London and add a light layer if any part of the 1-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Private Arrival or Departure Transfer: London Heathrow Airport to Central London start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central London within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in London?
+
London's best attractions split cleanly: the museums are free and need no booking, so the paid market is about views, theatre and getting out of the city for a day. That makes value scoring unusually important here, and the Outty Ranking penalises anything charging premium prices for access you could get for nothing. On Outty we rank every London experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Soho Music & Historic Pubs Tour, London Small Group Tour of Historical Pubs, The Great British Rock and Roll Walking Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit London?
+
May to September for long evenings, December for the Christmas markets. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in London?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
