Great Family Tour
Great experience with the tour company. They were great at also providing other recommendations on things to do around Jackson and places to stay and eat before and during our tour. Aaron was a great tour guide and knew all the shortcuts, places to see and was very knowledgeable about the history of the park. Would not hesitate to recommend.

A Phenomenal Experience
TLDR, if you’re looking to book a private tour of Yellowstone or Grand Teton we had an absolutely unforgettable experience with Teton Excursions and cannot recommend them highly enough. The unabridged version.. Our family of four booked tours for a full day in Yellowstone (Lower Loop) and a half day in Grand Teton and Aaron was our most excellent, excellent guide. We were picked up at our hotel in Jackson at 7am and by 7:15 we were stopped on the side of the road taking pictures of a herd of young Bull Elk. Unreal. We hit all the highlights in the lower Yellowstone loop and quite a few secret little spots and although that first day was around 12 hours, it really felt like half that at most. Lunch was pre ordered from a local cafe in Jackson was really delicious, and Aaron took care of setting everything up while we went off and purchased way too many souvenirs from the gift shop at the Old Faithful Inn. Day one was huge success, our young kids (9 & 6) didn’t get bored once as it was so interactive and Aaron kept them very engaged all day. We also discovered THEE Yellow Stone. Day two was a more relaxed day in Grand Teton where we hit a few touristy hotspots, but also did a couple small hikes more off the beaten path. We covered a lot of ground and saw some unforgettable sights once again, which I guess is kind of impossible in hindsight. Over the course of both days, we learned an enormous amount about the history of the parks (Moran, Colter, Lewis & Clark etc..), the wildlife and their migration paths, the continental divide, you name it. If we had a question, Aaron had the answer. This was a bucket list trip for us, and could not have imagined a better experience. We will be back to explore more of Yellowstone in the future with Teton Excursions for sure. Thank you Aaron and Emily for taking such great care of us!

Two Day Yellowstone Tour Exceeded Our Expectations!!!
Our 2 day private Yellowstone tour with our guide John was amazing!! His enthusiasm & excitement at showing us each of Yellowstone’s marvels (from geothermal pools to waterfalls to wildlife), made it seem as though he was seeing them for the first time just like we were!! The planned picnic lunch breaks were delicious & relaxing! We learned so much from John’s knowledge of the parks, and he was a pleasure to be with! Our stay at Mammoth Hot Springs Hotel was perfect after a day of sightseeing. Every aspect of our tour was customized, right down to the music we listened to as we drove through this breathtaking part of the country! So happy that we found Emily & Aaron, and booked with Teton Excursions!

Amazing!
We had a fantastic few days with Aaron guiding us through Yellowstone and Grand Teton National parks. He was great at explaining the history, pointing out interesting things, spotting wildlife, and taking us on incredible hikes. We had kids with us and he was able to keep the adults and kids engaged at all times. It was a magical trip and Aaron was a huge part of that.

Yellowstone Tour
Our family has had the opportunity to visit Jackson 3 times. Each visit was a great experience. This summer we booked with Erin and Emily 's Teton Excursions so that our Yellowstone visit was an immersive experience. They picked us up promptly at our hotel armed with refreshments and snacks. On the long drive north, we sat comfortably in their spacious van taking in the beautiful Tetons while Erin and Emily gave us detailed and historical information about the park. As we entered Yellowstone, Emily pulled out an advanced monoscope, allowing us to view the sublime details of the diverse population of birds and waterfowl at each stop. Emily Erin are absolute experts on practically every detail of the diversity-rich population of birds and waterfowl. Driving deeper into the park, we stopped to view waterfalls, lakes, valleys, and the biodiversity of the park. Before lunch, we went for a 3-mile hike into a valley that ended with a beautiful waterfall. The path was without crowds as Erin and Emily knew the best places to take their clients. We stopped for lunch at the Old Faithful Inn. Erin and Emily packed us a delectable lunch that we were able to customize with a link they sent us before we arrived. After lunch, we were able to time the eruption of Old Faithful - always impressive - then we drove north. We stopped multiple times to view both the geographic grandeur of the park as well as the dozens of grizzly bears, black bears, and the hundreds of bison and birds. As night drew closer, we exited the park on the north side and drove into Montana. We checked into our cozy cabins in the small town of Silver Gate. We were surrounded with the most surreal and magnificent mountains we had ever seen. Emily and Erin cooked us an appetizing dinner as we sat down together and enjoyed our meal like a large family. The next morning, we were ready for another day of exploration. That morning the town's famous diner happened to be closed for the Holiday, but Emily and Erin were prepared with a great breakfast on the fly. On our way south through to Park we stopped to view mountain goats. We would have never spotted them if it was not for Erin and Emily’s expertise. We completed the grand loop of the park and saw the upper falls of the Yellowstone River, and Erin used his expert photography skills to capture cinematic and inspiring photos of our family. As we neared the end of our trip, we stopped for lunch next to a secluded and charming lake. Driving back to the hotel we stopped by the Grand Teton National Park lodge to get a glimpse of the grandness of the Tetons. We wrapped up our trip and they dropped us off at the hotel, helping us unload our stuff and bidding us farewell. This is the second time we traveled with Erin and Emily. The service of Teton Excursions is unsurpassed. Their attention to detail, passion for the natural world, and genuine care for their guests make them stand out in every possible way. Erin and Emily went above and beyond at every turn—anticipating our needs, sharing incredible stories and facts, and ensuring our family felt safe, comfortable, and inspired throughout the entire journey. What makes Teton Excursions truly exceptional is the balance they strike between professionalism and warmth. It never felt like we were just clients; it felt like we were traveling with close friends who happened to be expert guides. Their knowledge of Yellowstone’s geology, ecology, and wildlife is nothing short of impressive, and they made every moment meaningful—from spotting elusive animals to finding quiet, scenic places that most tourists miss entirely. We left the trip not only with amazing photos and memories, but with a deeper appreciation for the park and its wonders. When considering a visit to Yellowstone or Grand Teton and want to experience it in a rich, memorable, and personal way, we couldn’t recommend Teton Excursions more highly. This wasn’t just a tour—it was an unforgettable adventure that brought our family closer together and left us eager to return.

Private 2-Day Yellowstone Tour - Upper and Lower Loop: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Jackson.
How much does Private 2-Day Yellowstone Tour - Upper and Lower Loop cost?
+
Prices start at $4500 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Jackson usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Private 2-Day Yellowstone Tour - Upper and Lower Loop take?
+
Plan for about 48 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Jackson is not rushed.
Is Private 2-Day Yellowstone Tour - Upper and Lower Loop worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 51 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 9 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable most popular in Jackson, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Private 2-Day Yellowstone Tour - Upper and Lower Loop?
+
No. This experience is sold on a non-refundable basis, so only book a date you are confident about. Similar experiences in the city do offer free cancellation if flexibility matters more than price.
Is Private 2-Day Yellowstone Tour - Upper and Lower Loop suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 48-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Private 2-Day Yellowstone Tour - Upper and Lower Loop?
+
Around 3 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Jackson can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Jackson and add a light layer if any part of the 48-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Private 2-Day Yellowstone Tour - Upper and Lower Loop start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Jackson within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Jackson?
+
On Outty we rank every Jackson experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Whitewater Rafting in Jackson Hole : Family Standard Raft, Sunrise 4-Hour Grand Teton Wildlife Adventure, Snake River Scenic Float Trip with Teton Views in Jackson Hole. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Jackson?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Jackson?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
