    Our favorite experience...

Our favorite experience of our honeymoon trip! Patricia and Elsa made us feel so comfortable cooking the new dishes, it felt as if cooking with family. They provided great stories and details about Portuguese culture and cuisine and the wine was fantastic as well. A very welcoming and friendly experience, and sitting down to eat the food we made and converse with them was one of our favorite meals of the whole trip. Could not recommend this enough!

Response from the operator: Thank you so much for such a lovely review! It means a lot to know that our cooking class was one of your favorite experiences of your honeymoon. Patricia and Elsa will be so happy to hear your kind words! Sharing Portuguese food, stories, wine and good conversation around the table is exactly what we love about these classes. It was a pleasure having you cook and dine with us. Wishing you both a wonderful life together and many more memorable meals along the way! ❤️

    Fun experience for our family

Such a fun experience! We cooked a 3 course meal, and the work was divided among the four of us (really the only way to accomplish this in a reasonable timeframe). Our chef-guide was very patient with my teenage daughter as she made her first ever custard. If you're interested in learning about & sampling some traditional Portuguese dishes, I highly recommend this tour!

Response from the operator: Thank you very much for your lovely review! We’re so happy to hear that your family enjoyed cooking and discovering some traditional Portuguese dishes together. It’s especially nice to know that your daughter had a great experience making her first custard with our chef! 😊 Thank you for choosing to cook with us during your time in Lisbon and for recommending the experience. We hope you’ll recreate some of the dishes together at home!

    Wonderful food. Gracious host.

She was incredibly supportive and patient with a group possessing a broad skill base. Some were experienced cooks and some were novices. Her instructions were very clear without being overbearing. She also modified recipes on the fly to accommodate dietary needs.

Response from the operator: Thank you very much for your thoughtful review! We’re delighted to hear that you felt comfortable and supported throughout the class, regardless of cooking experience. We always want everyone around the table to feel included and enjoy the experience, so it’s wonderful to know that the dietary adaptations were appreciated as well. Thank you for cooking with us, and we hope you took home some great memories — and a few new Portuguese recipes to enjoy again!

Portuguese Cooking Class in Lisbon: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Lisbon.

How much does Portuguese Cooking Class in Lisbon cost?

    +

Prices start at $45 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Lisbon usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Portuguese Cooking Class in Lisbon take?

    +

Plan for about 3.5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Lisbon is not rushed.

Is Portuguese Cooking Class in Lisbon worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 78 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.8/5 across 169 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Lisbon, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Portuguese Cooking Class in Lisbon?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Portuguese Cooking Class in Lisbon suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 3.5-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Portuguese Cooking Class in Lisbon?

    +

Around 59 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Lisbon can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Lisbon and add a light layer if any part of the 3.5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Portuguese Cooking Class in Lisbon start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Lisbon within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Lisbon?

    +

On Outty we rank every Lisbon experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Lisbon City Center Tour - The Unmissable Lisbon, Sintra Private Trip from Lisbon Customizable Dreamlike Experience, True 4Hour Private Tuk Tuk Tour: Discover Lisbon with a Local!. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Lisbon?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Lisbon?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
