Excellent tour, brilliantly organised

The whole day was excellent! With comfortable transfers and smooth handovers between activities, it was a delight to have everything taken care of for us. The tour around Pompei and the wine tasting were both done by extremely knowledgable guides with good English, and the hike up Vesuvius was worthwhile for the views! I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend the full day of activities or the tour company - everything was just as we had hoped.

Response from the operator: thanks for choosing us!

Wonderful day

The hike up Vesuvius is strenuous but the view at the top was amazing. Frankie our tour guide at Pompeii was fantastic! He made our experience so worthwhile!!! The winery was beautiful with delicious food and wine.

Informative visit to Vesuvius and tour of Pompeii

The hike up to the Mt Vesuvius crater was a bit strenuous as we had a limited time to get to the top and back down, so was no leisurely stroll. Well worth the effort, though. The crater was interesting to see, and the view of Naples and the bay were amazing. It would've been nice if our driver uo to Vesuvius had given us some history or information, but he didn't have much to say. The small group tour of Pompeii was fascinating and informative. Our guide was knowledgable as well as entertaining. This part exceeded my expectations as it was so much more than just the ruins I expected. The trip to the winery was a bit less than expected. There was no wine tasting, just a meal with wine. The meal was fine, but not anything exceptional. We were given a tour of the grounds and facility which would have been nice on it's own if that's what we'd been expecting. However, after a day of climbing Mt Vesuvius and touring Pompeii, we were just ready to sit and have some wine. We were a bit tired to enjoy touring a vineyard & winery.

All parts were Outstanding!

In a day that was outstanding, Sasa our Pompeii tour guide was over and beyond the very best! He was super knowledgeable and fantastically engaging. The hike to the very top of Mt Vesuvio was very uphill and very awesome. The lunch + wine tasting was a delicious way to sit and reminisce over our incredible day. My whole family aged 14 - 54 loved the whole day!

Response from the operator: thank you for choosing us!!!!

How much does Pompeii & Vesuvius with Lunch & Wine Tasting from Positano cost?

+

Prices start at $259 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Positano usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Pompeii & Vesuvius with Lunch & Wine Tasting from Positano take?

+

Plan for about 8 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Positano is not rushed.

Is Pompeii & Vesuvius with Lunch & Wine Tasting from Positano worth it?

+

It holds an Outty Ranking of 71 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.4/5 across 59 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Positano, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Pompeii & Vesuvius with Lunch & Wine Tasting from Positano?

+

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Pompeii & Vesuvius with Lunch & Wine Tasting from Positano suitable for kids and families?

+

The operator sets a minimum age of 5. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 8-hour running time when deciding.

How far in advance should I book Pompeii & Vesuvius with Lunch & Wine Tasting from Positano?

+

Around 21 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Positano can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

+

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Positano and add a light layer if any part of the 8-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Pompeii & Vesuvius with Lunch & Wine Tasting from Positano start and how do I get there?

+

What are the best things to do in Positano?

+

On Outty we rank every Positano experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Cooking class with Pasta, mozzarella and Tiramisu with wine, Capri and Blue Grotto Semi Private Boat Day Trip from Sorrento, From Sorrento: Positano & Amalfi Coast Boat Tour with Pick Up. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Positano?

+

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Positano?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
