About this experience
The Amalfi Coast is one of the most picturesque and dramatic coastlines in Europe. An unforgettable drive along the winding road carved right out of the mountainside. Dotted along the coast are various little towns of which Positano and Amalfi are must-sees. The first stop is Positano just 18 km from Sorrento, a beautiful town that cascades down to the sea like a waterfall, explore these tiny alleys crammed with cafè and boutiques. After free time in Positano, pass through Praiano and arrive to Amalfi, a town that gave its name to the Amalfi Coast because it was the ancient capital of the “Repubblica Marinara of Amalfi”. Amalfi main attractions include the famous “Duomo di Amalfi” a real architectural masterpiece! Last stop will be in Ravello for 1 hour of free time.

The Italian Tour That Was A Blur
Our guide through the trip (the trip itself was amazing) Francesca was young and a bit immature and inexperienced. She was friendly but didn’t understand the line between staying a professional and becoming to private. She was over friendly and accepting of one of our tour group men’s approach as Zio Giuseppe’s advances. Entertaining invitations back to tje States and more. One of the couple in our group booked separately through this agency prior to the trip to Pompeii. I decided to book once we arrived from the “same” company. The couple shared their receipt with me to prove that Francesca charged be more as an individual than the two of them combined. I felt like I was robbed and there Walter no apologies or credits offered when the receipt was shown to her. We had separate guides for Pompeii and Capri Island and the level of professionalism and knowledge was extremely different. The other overall concern and complaint from the whole group was that the tours were changed last minute and many more sites added. Being older we expressed the desire to see less and spend more time enjoying where we were vs constant walking to the point where everything ended up being a blur in memory. (Definitely a case of less is more) several of us in the group being older had respiratory or physical limitations and our requests to see less were not honored. I will book again this same tour for 2028 but will insist having a more professional and knowledgeable guide. That is truly more concerned with us as people.

Let Nino do the stressful driving and just enjoy the towns! Close in parking will minimize long walks!
Nino was the perfect driver to these 3 towns. He kept us all laughing with his great sense of humor. Took the scenic route out of Sorrento..less traffic! He gave us the important information for each stop and let us go do our own thing. He also gave us the option to have lunch on the waterfront in Amalfie.

Great day out
By chance came across office in Sorrento. The lady operating the office was informative, very friendly and efficient. I booked the tour of Positano, Amalfi and Ravello. Pick up was opposite my accommodation. Van arrived within expected 5-10 minutes I was told to be waiting. Other passengers were lively and interesting too. Our driver Ciro was a lovely, friendly guy. He was a good driver, informative and happy to chat and answer all the passengers questions in English. Ciro also offered us the opportunity to do a boat cruise of Amalfi coast to see Amalfi from the water. Euro20 was well worth the 45-50 minutes on the water. Was fabulous to get out of the crowds consuming Amalfi square for a time. Very happy with everything about my great day.

Well priced day tours
Booked three tours direct at the office in Sorrento in the 4 days we were at Sorrento. My husband and I knew we wanted to do the following 1.Go to Capri 2.Go to Pompeii and Ercalono and 3. Drive down the Amalfi coast. The receptionist was very helpful and efficient, could be interpreted as being brusque however the prices were very good and they were able to book tours on quick notice (less than 24 hours) We were picked up on time by a mini bus and/or guides were informative. Overall made our day trips very smooth.

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Positano.
How much does Positano, Amalfi and Ravello Small Group by Minivan from Sorrento cost?
+
Prices start at $118 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Positano usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Positano, Amalfi and Ravello Small Group by Minivan from Sorrento take?
+
Plan for about 8 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Positano is not rushed.
Is Positano, Amalfi and Ravello Small Group by Minivan from Sorrento worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 68 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.7/5 across 9 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Positano, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Positano, Amalfi and Ravello Small Group by Minivan from Sorrento?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Positano, Amalfi and Ravello Small Group by Minivan from Sorrento suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 8-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Positano, Amalfi and Ravello Small Group by Minivan from Sorrento?
+
Around 3 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Positano can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Positano and add a light layer if any part of the 8-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Positano, Amalfi and Ravello Small Group by Minivan from Sorrento start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Positano within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Positano?
+
On Outty we rank every Positano experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Cooking class with Pasta, mozzarella and Tiramisu with wine, Capri and Blue Grotto Semi Private Boat Day Trip from Sorrento, From Sorrento: Positano & Amalfi Coast Boat Tour with Pick Up. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Positano?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Positano?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
