About this experience
Visit the ruins of the Ancient city of Pompeii, one of the largest archaeological areas ever known and listed among the UNESCO World Heritage Sites. Follow your guide on the lava-stoned path at the discovery of the highlights of the Roman urbe. As you will see, even though the Vesuvius eruption has put an end to the history of the city, the lava and ashes layers have helped preserving its structure through the centuries. This journey into the past will let you get in touch with the ancient behaviour and costumes of the Pompeian people, and the splendour of the city will revive under your eyes. Starting from the gymnasium, you will pass in via dell’Abbondanza, enter the Theatres, walk by the Temple of Isis, the magnificent House of Menander, the spectacular Baths and, last but not the least, you will enter the Forum passing by the Lupanariae.

Great day!
We had a wonderful day in Pompeii with our tour guide, Stefania. She was so passionate and excited about everything, which made it really fun for us. We had a private driver/transfer back to Rome. Francesco was wonderful. He was very prompt and even recommended a fun winery he brought us to for lunch. We loved it!

Great day!!
We booked this excursion from home and everything went according to plan except I messed up and had it on the wrong day! We basically woke up 9 minutes before we were supposed to be upstairs for Paulo, the driver. Paulo was so sweet and waited for us as we scrambled to get ready. He just kept saying, “don’t worry-no problem”. I felt horrible but we made it in time to meet Rosanna and she was great. We felt like we were meeting up with a aunt for the day and she has the funniest sense of humor which made it more fun. Rosanna has a way of really helping us imagine what life was like in Pompeii and we really appreciated her. When the tour was over Paulo took us to a place for lunch where he eats with his family and it was fantastic!! We hope to return someday with our grandkids and we will definitely be calling these guys. Thanks for a great day! Amy and Ryan
Response from the operator: Good afternoon, Amy and Ryan! Thank you so much for sharing your experience with us! We are glad you had such a great day with Rosanna and Paolo in Pompeii, and won't miss to share your kind feedback with them! =) We really appreciate your help and support, and will be happy to assist you again in future! Kindest regards from the "Loretta's Pompeii and Amalfi Coast Tours" staff.

Pompeii Must-See Attractions Guided Tour with Skip-the-Line Access: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Pompeii.
How much does Pompeii Must-See Attractions Guided Tour with Skip-the-Line Access cost?
+
Prices start at $248 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Pompeii usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Pompeii Must-See Attractions Guided Tour with Skip-the-Line Access take?
+
Plan for about 2 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Pompeii is not rushed.
Is Pompeii Must-See Attractions Guided Tour with Skip-the-Line Access worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 52 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 2 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Pompeii, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Pompeii Must-See Attractions Guided Tour with Skip-the-Line Access?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Pompeii Must-See Attractions Guided Tour with Skip-the-Line Access suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 2-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Pompeii Must-See Attractions Guided Tour with Skip-the-Line Access?
+
Around 1 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Pompeii can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Pompeii and add a light layer if any part of the 2-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Pompeii Must-See Attractions Guided Tour with Skip-the-Line Access start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Pompeii within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Pompeii?
+
On Outty we rank every Pompeii experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Premium Minivan Trip from Rome: Pompeii Tour & Lunch in Sorrento, Skip the Line Guided Tour of Pompeii Led by an Archaeologist, Explore Pompeii with an Archaeologist. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Pompeii?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Pompeii?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
