Good tour!
Delightful guide provided just the right amount of details at each site. I am glad we saw both sites. And the pizza lunch was a nice ending!

Pompeii was outstanding, Julia our guide was so informative we loved every minute of the tour. Roberto picked us up and he was also very informative and attentive. Lunch was included but the venue was dirty, no air conditioning and the temperature was 35c and there was no one else at the restaurant, we were handed a menu and told we could choose 1 drink each and 2 pizzas but no limits were set by the waiter who couldn’t understand English, Roberto had to interpret and then advised anything else would be extra an charge. We ordered 1 pizza for €13 and a salad for €10, the Pizza was soggy and our salad was not cold and was boring. I would rate this tour as advertised a 3 star definitely over priced for what is received. Herculaneum was a waist of time.
Response from the operator: Hello and thank you for your feedback. We will keep it as a reminder to always improve our services. Just please consider few things that, maybe, you do not have considered before writing your review: 1. This tour start with a minimum of participants and that day there were only you (2 people), we still honored the reservation to give you a lovely day (I think it is quite clear that you received a private tour instead of a group one, this should be appreciated by customers). 2. The pizzeria is located a few steps from Ercolano to allow you guests to relax without stress during lunch and have a view of Ercolano taking all the time you need. If the pizzeria was empty, this is dictated by the fact that in August, in Italy, no one has lunch at 11:30 in the morning, this is normal. Just as we believe it is normal that any menu extras must be paid on site. Today the cost of a banal Margherita or Marinara pizza with drink and service is quite high everywhere and we include it in the price. 3. Precisely because we are not the owners of the restaurants, we ALWAYS have our guests accompanied by an English-speaking member of our staff, so I don't understand why you should complain, you said it yourself, Roberto assisted you in the best possible way. 4. As per the description, the guide is guaranteed upon reaching the minimum number of participants, yet we preferred to let you have Giulia in Pompeii and give you as per the description the audio guides in Herculaneum (which I can guarantee is not a waste of time as you say, as many places are preserved even better than Pompeii). Roberto even had to give his document to get you the audio guides because you were suspicious even just because of that. Don't you think it's a little exaggerated? Finally, the most important thing: the tour has a retailed price and when you bought it I imagine you read what it included, so I wonder Why complain about something that is "expensive" after purchasing it? Undoubtedly our rates are slightly higher than other competitors, but this guarantees us to offer customers who have booked a shared tour an experience equal to a private one, having received - Private vehicle with driver and assistant on board for the entire duration of the tour - Private guide in Pompeii for 2h - Entrance tickets to Pompeii and Herculaneum - Pizza lunch - Audio guides in Herculaneum I wonder, what else should we have given to you?

Pompeii & Herculaneum Daily Tour from Naples+Skip-the-Line+Pizza: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Naples.
How much does Pompeii & Herculaneum Daily Tour from Naples+Skip-the-Line+Pizza cost?
+
Prices start at $289 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Naples usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Pompeii & Herculaneum Daily Tour from Naples+Skip-the-Line+Pizza take?
+
Plan for about 6 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Naples is not rushed.
Is Pompeii & Herculaneum Daily Tour from Naples+Skip-the-Line+Pizza worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 48 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (4/5 across 2 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Naples, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Pompeii & Herculaneum Daily Tour from Naples+Skip-the-Line+Pizza?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Pompeii & Herculaneum Daily Tour from Naples+Skip-the-Line+Pizza suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 6-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Pompeii & Herculaneum Daily Tour from Naples+Skip-the-Line+Pizza?
+
Around 1 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Naples can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Naples and add a light layer if any part of the 6-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Pompeii & Herculaneum Daily Tour from Naples+Skip-the-Line+Pizza start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Naples within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Naples?
+
On Outty we rank every Naples experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Full Day Private Amalfi Coast Tour from Sorrento/Naples/Salerno, Caserta Royal Palace & Gardens Small Group Tour with Shuttle, Naples Pizza and Tiramisu Cooking Class. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Naples?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Naples?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
