A Fantastic Day Exploring The Two Ruins
What a great day touring the ruins and museums at both these sites! Our guide Vincenzo was amazing. He shared his extensive knowledge of the history and social structure of both cities, and did a wonderful job of contrasting the two cities and the way they each experienced the eruption of Vesuvius. We really enjoyed the day.

Awe inspiring
Our guide, Vincenzo was fantastic - knowledgeable, conscientious and humorous. I have a little difficulty walking all the high steps and rough surfaces..,without drawing notice, he would offer me a hand when needed. It was much appreciated! The weather was not good for outdoor tour, but we continued anyway, despite the rain I would highly recommend. I took the double tour, (including Herculaneum) both sites were incredible! Do both! this is only issue I had - there was short time to eat between and food available for that short time was substandard. If not for the bad weather we may have had more choices I don’t know

Vincenzo was not only very knowledgeable regarding the Pompeii and Herculeum disasters and re-discovery, but he was patient and amusing. What a positive experience he provided for all in the group! We certainly left with full appreciation for the sites as amazing treasures, as well as appreciation for the creative knowledge possessed and practiced at the time. We think we are so “modern” and knowledgeable but a visit here proves that we are but repeating history. Vincenzo was factual, a real font of experience with the historical background that allowed us to imagine and appreciate the experience of Pompeii and Herculeum life!

Great but Long Day in Pompeii and Ercolano
Vincenzo, our tour guide, was outstanding and very knowledgable. The group was quite large (23 people) and Vincenzo managed to keep everyone together and moving forward through the tour. Vincenzo, our driver, was exceptionally skilled in navigating the tight corners and narrow roads from Sorrento to Pompeii/Ercolono and back. Overall a great but long day with what I would not call a “small group”.
