Breathtaking
If I could give this experience more than 5 stars, I absolutely would. The Path of the Gods hike was a perfect **10 out of 10** and easily one of the highlights of our trip to the Amalfi Coast. Our personal guide, **Marco**, was simply outstanding. His knowledge of the area’s history, culture, geology, and local traditions was beyond anything we expected. Every step of the hike came alive through his stories and passion for the region. He wasn’t just a guide—he made us feel like we were exploring the Amalfi Coast with a lifelong friend. What made the day truly unforgettable was meeting **Antonio**, a local shepherd who embodies the authentic spirit of the Amalfi Coast. He spent the morning tending to his goats before welcoming us into his home to prepare an incredible homemade lunch using fresh, local ingredients. It wasn’t just a meal—it was an experience filled with warmth, tradition, and genuine hospitality. We were also fortunate to spend time with **Paolo**, another guide and close friend of Marco and Antonio. The friendship between the three of them was evident throughout the day, and they welcomed us as though we were part of their own family. Their kindness, laughter, and generosity created memories that will stay with us forever. This wasn’t just a hike with breathtaking views—it was an authentic glimpse into the heart and soul of the Amalfi Coast. From the spectacular scenery to the incredible people we met, every moment was unforgettable. If you’re considering the Path of the Gods, don’t hesitate. This is the experience you want. It is a true treasure and one you will never forget.

Fantastic hike even with rain!
Fantastic hike with Enrico! We hired a private driver to take us from Sorrento to the meeting place in Bomerano which was very convenient. Enrico showed us where we could use the bathroom before the hike since there aren’t services along the way until reaching Nocelle. I was concerned about the weather because rain was forecast and there is a lot of information on the internet stating that the hike is dangerous in the rain. Also, several people from Sorrento we spoke with also advised against hiking in rainy conditions. The tour manager (cartotrekking.com) provided reassurance that the trek would be safe and if the conditions were unsuitable the hike would be cancelled for full refund. It was the only day we could do the hike so we took the chance, and we are SO glad that we did! Enrico explained the municipalities have been improving the trail, and since then the trail remains very reasonable regardless of rain. We all wore sneakers with good grips, had raincoats with hoods, and brought water bottles. The trail was a bit sandy so our sneakers will need to be washed, but it was not very muddy. Some of the trail now has wooden handrails, and none of it required us to climb. Enrico said the trail is challenging in the heat, and we found the benefit of the rain was cooler temperatures and less crowds. Enrico was very friendly, knowledgeable, and shared about the area including native plants. He made sure to warn us when the footing was potentially slippery and got us to the restaurant in Montepertuso on time for our lunch reservation, without us ever feeling rushed and allowing us to take our time. I appreciated he offered to take pictures for us and he knew the best spots to do so. The weather ranged from cold and rainy to hot and sunny within the almost 4 hours of our hike. The clouds parted in time for us to have amazing views of Praiano, Capri, and Positano! We appreciated having a guide with us although experienced hikers would have no difficulty as the trail is well marked. Enrico made the day that much more enjoyable for us!
Response from the operator: Thank you so much for the wonderful review. Enrico also thanks you and wants to let you know that he was very pleased with your kind words.

Magical Day!
Vincenzo was excellent from start to finish. We met in Agerola on time, and he led us to a bathroom before starting the trek and made sure that we had enough water. We then started on the ~3hr20min hike on Path of the Gods toward Sorrento. Throughout the hike, he had a number of interesting facts, stories, and photos to share with us about the region and the path. He told us about the local plants, we saw sheep and goats, and he answered any questions we had along the way. After a short bus-ride to Sorrento, he showed us the way to where we had a car scheduled to take us back home, as well as some of the local sights. Thank you Vincenzo - would recommend to anyone!

Why this scores 85
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Path of the Gods Private Hiking Tour from Agerola: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Positano.
How much does Path of the Gods Private Hiking Tour from Agerola cost?
+
Prices start at $38 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Positano usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Path of the Gods Private Hiking Tour from Agerola take?
+
Plan for about 3 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Positano is not rushed.
Is Path of the Gods Private Hiking Tour from Agerola worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 85 out of 100, which we label "Exceptional". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.9/5 across 95 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable most popular in Positano, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Path of the Gods Private Hiking Tour from Agerola?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Path of the Gods Private Hiking Tour from Agerola suitable for kids and families?
+
The operator sets a minimum age of 12. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 3-hour running time when deciding.
How far in advance should I book Path of the Gods Private Hiking Tour from Agerola?
+
Around 33 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Positano can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Positano and add a light layer if any part of the 3-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Path of the Gods Private Hiking Tour from Agerola start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Positano within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Positano?
+
On Outty we rank every Positano experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Cooking class with Pasta, mozzarella and Tiramisu with wine, Capri and Blue Grotto Semi Private Boat Day Trip from Sorrento, From Sorrento: Positano & Amalfi Coast Boat Tour with Pick Up. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Positano?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Positano?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
