What you'll see and do
Sentiero Degli Dei
Hike along Italy's most beautiful coastal trail, in the heart of the Mediterranean vegetation and surrounded by vertical cliffs and spectacular views over Positano, Praiano and Capri. We will meet in the square, full of nice cafes and local deli shops. It won't take long for you to figure out why this is called the path of the Gods: incredible vertical sceneries with grapes and lemon trees will give you the feeling of being suspended between sky and sea. We will stop along the way, and I will tell you countless stories about our culture, our lifestyle, and the local history of the villages, as well as the myths related to the trail. After a couple of hours of walk, ups and downs along the rocky trail that stretches between limestone cliffs, we will finally head towards the hamlet of Nocelle. From there you can decide to head down to Positano by either taking a local bus that runs every hour, or walking down the 1800 stairs to the center of town. Upon request, picnic can be added.

Alessandro is Amalfi!!!
I’ve been to the Amalfi Coast three times now. But this third visit felt completely different. For the first time, I truly understood the greatness of that land — the depth of its history, its beauty, its soul, and why it has inspired artists, writers, and travelers for centuries. And honestly, it happened because, almost by chance, we found the most extraordinary and inspiring tour guide: Alessandro. He didn’t simply show us places; he brought the Amalfi Coast to life. Through his stories, passion, and knowledge, every village, every road, every cliff, and every church suddenly carried meaning. He transformed a beautiful trip into an unforgettable experience.

Exceptional experience! 5🌟
Ale provided an INCREDIBLE tour along the Path of the Gods for my retreat group. We were a group of 8 women, aging from 30s-50s and all of us had an amazing time. It was incredible value for money learning from a passionate local, tasting delicious fresh herbs on the pathway, discovering the beautiful nature and being with someone so genuinely connected with the land. The walk was strenuous but with plenty of stops and time to sit and listen. I loved learning about the Sirens, womens rights and mermaid culture 🧜♀️ we had such a fantastic time thank you Ale!

A truly amazing experience !!
We had an amazing experience with our guide, Alessandro. He was incredibly knowledgeable—not just about the history, but also the culture, geography, and even local mythology—which made everything so much more meaningful. What really stood out was how engaging and energetic he was. He connected effortlessly with everyone in our group, ranging from ages 12 to 50, and kept us all interested throughout. He even got us raincoats in case there is rain, but fortunately everything cleared up A fantastic communicator and truly passionate about what he does—we enjoyed every moment. If we ever return, we will definitely ask for Alessandro again!

The Perfect Way to See and Learn About the Path of the Gods
The beauty of the Path of the Gods-Sentiero degli Dei-is indescribable and I was so lucky to have Alessandro as my guide! A native of this spectacular region, he is incredibly knowledgeable and filled our hike with information about the towns we were walking through, the history of the region and stories of local myths and legends. The hike is not easy and there are places with loose rocks and steep cliffs. Never once did I feel unsafe as Alessandro knew every step of the way. His love for the area comes through clearly as he kindly helped any hiker who needed assistance along the way and picked up any trash his saw as well. You could do this hike by yourself by why would you when you could also learn so much and experience a deeper appreciation of this ancient trail. I'm looking forward to visiting Amalfi again and using Alessandro on another hike!
Response from the operator: Dear Eva, thank you so much for your precious feedback. I am extremely happy to read your thoughts about our tour, and it fills my heart with joy to see that I have accomplished my mission of creating connections between hikers and my beautiful homeland. I am really looking forward to welcome you again soon on the Amalfi Coast. Alessandro

Whether you’re an avid hiker or simply looking to experience the natural beauty of the region in a unique and authentic way, I cannot recommend this enough. Alessandro’s passion for what he does is contagious, and his guidance made the hike truly unforgettable. This is a must-do for anyone visiting the Amalfi Coast. Don’t miss the chance to explore it with Alessandro!

Why this scores 60
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Path of the Gods Private Walking Tour in Positano Italy: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Positano.
How much does Path of the Gods Private Walking Tour in Positano Italy cost?
+
Prices start at $295 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Positano usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Path of the Gods Private Walking Tour in Positano Italy take?
+
Plan for about 3 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Positano is not rushed.
Is Path of the Gods Private Walking Tour in Positano Italy worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 60 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 5 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Positano, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Path of the Gods Private Walking Tour in Positano Italy?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Path of the Gods Private Walking Tour in Positano Italy suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 3-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Path of the Gods Private Walking Tour in Positano Italy?
+
Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Positano can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Positano and add a light layer if any part of the 3-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Path of the Gods Private Walking Tour in Positano Italy start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Positano within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Positano?
+
On Outty we rank every Positano experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Cooking class with Pasta, mozzarella and Tiramisu with wine, Capri and Blue Grotto Semi Private Boat Day Trip from Sorrento, From Sorrento: Positano & Amalfi Coast Boat Tour with Pick Up. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Positano?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Positano?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
