Nice puzzles, good excuse to walk around Inner Harbor

Some very clever surprises in this box, and it was a great way to see some great spots around Inner Harbor! Nice length at less than two hours, although it was a little hard to find what we were supposed to look for next. The plot was cheesy but fun, too!

    Give it a go!

Very fun, and well designed experience! The outdoor element add something very nice to the traditional escape room format. It's a great way to get active, activate your brain, learn new things, and HAVE FUN!!! If you're looking for something fun to do in b-more, this is it! Could be considered walk-intensive for some, but since you go at your own pace, I don't think many will find an issue. Flat walking for the most part.

    Unique and fun activity!

This was a blast - and so clever! We took our 13 year old grandson and 2 of his friends. They all loved it, and were able to successfully complete it. The game is challenging; you follow clues from the app on your phone and from other materials provided in the box. But, the clues then need to be interpreted and figured out - as I said challenging! We walked for more than 4 miles, and it took us about 2-2.5 hours with only a short stop for a cold drink. In Baltimore, where we did this, we were instructed to begin at a local restaurant which turned out not to be on the course where we tracked down clues. This was a 'perk' the restaurant got for holding on to and distributing the game boxes to players. But, given the length of this we didn't like adding extra time and walking. I don't know if there is a way around this as the company needs someone local to distribute game boxes. I made some suggestions for Baltimore as to where players should be instructed to park (close to the first clue), but understand that this may not be workable to continue to have a way for the company to have boxes for pick up. You will use your cell phone throughout this game, so be sure to start with a full charge. We had so much fun that we already have plans to do this with our friends in another city. Communication was great and it was nice to hear from the owner of the company. She was clearly interested in hearing what we thought about this experience. If you like puzzles and escape rooms I think you will really enjoy this, we sure did!

    Awesome way to site see!

We came to Baltimore on Mother’s Day to play escape the city in the Inner harbor with the whole family (7 of us. 15,18,23,26,27,52 and 53yo) we had SUCH a great time. The day itself was gorgeous but the game made site seeing so much more fun! The adult kids especially liked it and are planning more cities with their friends. We did really well as expert escape room players. It was very challenging but we were able to finish with no hints in about 2 hours. Very very fun day!

    Spies in Baltimore!

This was a fun experience! We have lived in Baltimore and our friend from out of town found this game for when she came to visit. It took us about 3 hours of game play but we stopped in between for lunch. It was hard to get the first step (before clues) and one of the clues doesn't seem to be good anymore. But otherwise the clues were good and hints helped when we needed.

How long does Outdoor Escape Room in Baltimore - the Inner Harbor take?

Is Outdoor Escape Room in Baltimore - the Inner Harbor worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 57 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.5/5 across 15 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable most popular in Baltimore, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Outdoor Escape Room in Baltimore - the Inner Harbor?

    +

No. This experience is sold on a non-refundable basis, so only book a date you are confident about. Similar experiences in the city do offer free cancellation if flexibility matters more than price.

Is Outdoor Escape Room in Baltimore - the Inner Harbor suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 2-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Outdoor Escape Room in Baltimore - the Inner Harbor?

    +

Around 5 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Baltimore can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Baltimore and add a light layer if any part of the 2-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Baltimore within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Baltimore?

    +

Baltimore leans on the Inner Harbor: Fort McHenry visits, harbour cruises, Edgar Allan Poe and ghost walks, crab-focused food tours and a strong museum lineup within walking distance. On Outty we rank every Baltimore experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Baltimore Walking Foodie Tour in Fells Point, Fells Point Food Tour in Baltimore, Glow in the Dark Splatter Paint Experience. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Baltimore?

    +

April to June and September to October. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Baltimore?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
