    Worst tour ever

There was No experience. The driver picked us up on the far side of the port, which was very difficult to find. Then just drove us to a man made temple that sold very expensive tequila. Then drove us back to the farthest point of the port area. NO cultural information at all. One of the worst tours we've ever taken. Also would not unlock the car doors until he received a tip

Response from the operator: Dear Guest, I am very sorry that your tour was not what you expected. As service providers, we cannot enter the terminal, which is why we ask you to come out and meet us. The instructions for the meeting point are very clear, with a map included, as well as photos. We receive passengers every day without any problems. I honestly don't know what happened with you. Regarding your statement that the guide locked the car until he received his tip, this is a very serious accusation and an unacceptable practice in my company. I will personally follow up on this matter, so please contact us directly with the guide's name. Sincerely, ELIOT REYES

    Disappointing and even annoying!

This is a tourist trap! The Mayan dance lasts only 5 minutes. We had a 60 minute one at our hotel, with much more beautiful costumes and a wider variety of movements! Then you are made to drink to sell tequila 2 to 3 x more expensive than in tourist shops, and the seller lied to us that it is a family recipe made by them, while tequila is produced in a factory that produces3-4 other kinds. Then we try to sell you chocolate and honey. Very disappointing. As for the cenote, it is so natural that it has a drain and is molded. Besides, it's not cleaned.

Eliot Reyes

Awesome laid back fun, Carlos the guide was very helpful. Would definitely use Viator again. Same excursion as the cruise line for a fraction of the cost.

    Educational and Fun

It was a fun tour and our guide Han "Solo" was prompt, friendly, and an excellent driver! The tastings were amazing with lots of flavours and a knowledgeable staff. I didn't realize how bad our tequila is in comparison! The cultural part was interesting and entertaining and we were lucky enough to receive a purification ritual! For a quick outing it is affordable and fun.

Response from the operator: Dear guest, Thanks for taking your time in sending such a wonderfull review about HANS who indeed is amazing. We will let him know how happy you were with his service and we really hope to see you back soon. Safe travels, Alejandra Green

Claudio our tour guide was very friendly and funny. He even took pictures of our group and experience then sent it to us in WhatsApp. We had a great tequila tasting and ended up buying really excellent tequila and honey.

Response from the operator: Dear guest, Thanks for taking your time in sending such a wonderfull review about CLAUDIO who indeed is amazing. We will let him know how happy you were with his service and we really hope to see you back soon. Safe travels, Alejandra Green

Otoch Cozumel Mayan Cultural Tour with Cenote, Tastings & Tequila: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Cozumel.

How much does Otoch Cozumel Mayan Cultural Tour with Cenote, Tastings & Tequila cost?

    +

Prices start at $39 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Cozumel usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Otoch Cozumel Mayan Cultural Tour with Cenote, Tastings & Tequila take?

    +

Plan for about 2.5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Cozumel is not rushed.

Is Otoch Cozumel Mayan Cultural Tour with Cenote, Tastings & Tequila worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 54 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (3.9/5 across 9 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Cozumel, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Otoch Cozumel Mayan Cultural Tour with Cenote, Tastings & Tequila?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Otoch Cozumel Mayan Cultural Tour with Cenote, Tastings & Tequila suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 2.5-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Otoch Cozumel Mayan Cultural Tour with Cenote, Tastings & Tequila?

    +

Around 3 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Cozumel can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Cozumel and add a light layer if any part of the 2.5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Otoch Cozumel Mayan Cultural Tour with Cenote, Tastings & Tequila start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Cozumel within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Cozumel?

    +

On Outty we rank every Cozumel experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Jade Caverns and Mayan Village Cozumel ATV TOUR, Buggy, Beach & Snorkel Blast, ATV 4×4+Cenote+Snorkeling+Beach Club+ Lunch+Sabores de Cozumel. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Cozumel?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Cozumel?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
