Not worth it.
It is rundown. They do not tell you anything about Mayan culture. They advertise a cenote. They have a fake cement pool that’s supposed to resemble a cenote. Definitely wasn’t gonna swim in there. They were all about selling $245 tequila, $15 chocolate bars and honey. As if I would buy tequila or chocolate at that price from the place as rundown as that. Who knows how long those chocolate bars have been sitting there or who even make them, I seriously may ask for my money back. It seemed disorganized and just about selling stuff.
Response from the operator: Dear guest. Iam very sorry you didn´t enjoy the tour and thet you find this so negative. I was informed that was you who decided to go back and didn´t finished the tour. Just for your informatio we fortunately have been in the business for more than 15 years and never had a complaint about any of our products as they are fresh You didn´t want to go to the aerolito cenote and my gude respected your decision. Sorry about you were not happy Sincerely Eliot Reyes

Great way to start your day in Cozumel!
Had a great time learning about the culture of the Mayan people, Cozumel and our guide Claudio was amazing! From the pickup to the drop off and everything in between he made my Mom and I feel safe and like family. His energy and knowledge of the island was what made this tour even better. Def try the walnut tequila and the coconut cacao!
Response from the operator: Dear guest, Thanks for taking your time in sending such a wonderfull review about CLAUDIO who indeed is amazing. We will let him know how happy you were with his service and we really hope to see you back soon. Safe travels, Alejandra Green

Educational and...
Educational and entertaining. The highlights were the tacos and tasting of honey and chocolates. Excursion was shorter than expected, we were there for an hour and could’ve stayed the full 2.5 hours but my daughter didn’t feel well. Overall was a fun experience.
Response from the operator: Dear guest, Thanks for your nice comments. We hope to see you back soon. Sincerely Alejandra Green

Why this scores 56
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Otoch Mayan Experiences with Cenote Shared Guided Tour: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Cozumel.
How much does Otoch Mayan Experiences with Cenote Shared Guided Tour cost?
+
Prices start at $40 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Cozumel usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Otoch Mayan Experiences with Cenote Shared Guided Tour take?
+
Plan for about 2.5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Cozumel is not rushed.
Is Otoch Mayan Experiences with Cenote Shared Guided Tour worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 56 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.3/5 across 7 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Cozumel, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Otoch Mayan Experiences with Cenote Shared Guided Tour?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Otoch Mayan Experiences with Cenote Shared Guided Tour suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 2.5-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Otoch Mayan Experiences with Cenote Shared Guided Tour?
+
Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Cozumel can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Cozumel and add a light layer if any part of the 2.5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Otoch Mayan Experiences with Cenote Shared Guided Tour start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Cozumel within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Cozumel?
+
On Outty we rank every Cozumel experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Jade Caverns and Mayan Village Cozumel ATV TOUR, Buggy, Beach & Snorkel Blast, ATV 4×4+Cenote+Snorkeling+Beach Club+ Lunch+Sabores de Cozumel. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Cozumel?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Cozumel?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
