Great service
Efficient, clear communication, good service. Clean vehicle, friendly driver. Easy to find at the airport. Highly recommended.

Do not recommend
We used this transport service twice (once from the airport and once to the airport). The first time was wonderful - the driver was perfectly on time, friendly, and got us safely to our destination in a clean van. However the return trip was a terrible experience- it was a different driver and he was rude and his van smelled strongly of cigarette smoking. For a 1.5 hour transport, we were forced breathe this air (driver wouldn't let us open the window on the freeway) which was making me very lightheaded and short of breath. Given the variation in experience based on the driver, it appears it is not standardized and I would not recommend this company in case you get a bad driver or vehicle.
Response from the operator: Hola Alice, First of all, Happy New Year I truly appreciate you sharing your feedback regarding your recent transfer back to the Hilton. On behalf of our company, I would like to extend my sincerest apologies for the experience you had. This situation concerns me deeply, as the van you traveled in is our newest unit, and Arturo has been a valued member of our team for many years. It is the very first time we have received a comment of this nature about his attitude, which makes your feedback especially important. Please rest assured that I will personally review the case with our operations team to ensure our standards are upheld. I completely understand your expectations for service quality, and I regret that we fell short this time. If you decide to return in the future, I would be honored to personally assist you and ensure your experience reflects the level of care and professionalism we are committed to providing, same as you had with Omar at your arrival. Thank you again for bringing this to our attention. Your feedback helps us improve, and we hope to have the opportunity to welcome you back with the service you deserve.

Excellent Service
Fernando was our driver round-trip. He was very helpful, patient, and professional. He communicated very well, notified me of delays. I would recommend and use this service again.

The transfer was super...
The transfer was super easy to coordinate and very safe for two women traveling. The car had good AC.

Ride from cancun airport to Tulum
First rate. Fernando was on time and quite professional. Enjoyed the 90 minute ride from airport to hotel. No issues whatsoever and would certainly do it again.

Why this scores 64
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
One Way Transportation Cancun (NOT AIRPORT) - Akumal / Tulum: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Tulum.
How much does One Way Transportation Cancun (NOT AIRPORT) - Akumal / Tulum cost?
+
Prices start at $144 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Tulum usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does One Way Transportation Cancun (NOT AIRPORT) - Akumal / Tulum take?
+
Plan for about 1.5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Tulum is not rushed.
Is One Way Transportation Cancun (NOT AIRPORT) - Akumal / Tulum worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 64 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.9/5 across 46 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Tulum, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule One Way Transportation Cancun (NOT AIRPORT) - Akumal / Tulum?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is One Way Transportation Cancun (NOT AIRPORT) - Akumal / Tulum suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 1.5-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book One Way Transportation Cancun (NOT AIRPORT) - Akumal / Tulum?
+
Around 16 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Tulum can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Tulum and add a light layer if any part of the 1.5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does One Way Transportation Cancun (NOT AIRPORT) - Akumal / Tulum start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Tulum within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Tulum?
+
On Outty we rank every Tulum experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Tulum Ruins, Turtles in Akumal and Cenote tour, Tulum Guided Tour, Magical Cenote, Lagoon Snorkeling and Beachside Lunch, Chichén Itzá, Cenote and Valladolid with Lunch and transportation. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Tulum?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Tulum?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
