Fun morning

Birgit was a great guide. I usually try to do these type things on my own but it’s worth it to have a guide. It’s a small Cenote but she made the most of it.

Response from the operator: hi thanks so much for your comments we hope to have you coming back soon to enjoy more adventures

THIS IS A MUST DO

AMAZING! My boyfriend and I booked a very last minute (3am) paddle board cenote tour for one of the morning sessions. They informed us in the morning that we had booked late so there was no room so they could take us at a later time, but that didn’t work with our schedule. They were so willing to accommodate for us that Dario came to the cenote for our tour on his day off! He brought snacks, gave clear instructions since it was our first time, and was overall super friendly; it felt like we had just brought along a third friend on the tour. He was very willing to make any adjustments to the tour for us and even offered to take my gopro and get some really cool shots of us (they came out amazing!) we even got to see a live crocodile up close! Throughout the tour, he informed us about the environment we were in, the wildlife, took photos of us on his phone which he later sent us, and was constantly checking to make sure we were doing okay. He made our first paddle board experience so easy and so much fun that we’re planning to go again next time we’re in Tulum. This tour is a must and i’m sure the others are just as amazing! This company is amazing and Dario was so great! 10/10 recommend!

Beautiful adventure

We had a great time on this adventure! This was our first time going to a cenote and it was amazing. Christian met us there on time. We are experienced paddle boarders so we got on the water quick. Christian gave us a lot of history of the area and explained cenotes to us. We were the only ones there, it was awesome. I will admit, I was stressed when the crocodile wasn’t in his usual spot. I was fearful that he was going to suddenly appear. But we never saw him. Christian let us go at our own pace. We stopped and snorkeled and took pictures for a while and then continued on. We loved snorkeling through the mangrove tree’s. That was incredibly beautiful. Overall it was a great time! I would highly recommend it.

Amazingly beautiful setting!

My fiancé and I had an amazing morning paddle boarding and snorkeling at Casa Cenote. The water was crystal clear and warm even for our 9am start. We had rented a car so we drove and met our guide Christian there. He was prompt and got us set up with our boards and paddles and we were out on the water quickly. I had paddle boarded once before and this was the first time for my fiancé. But the water was absolutely calm and Christian was an amazing guide. Super chill and patient, really taking the time to describe the area and pointing out different aspects as we traveled down the mangroves in the cenote. We paddle boarded the entire length first with a few stops along the way to admire the incredible setting. We got to see the crocodile that lives in the cenote. It was just chilling sunbathing when we came by. But we were lucky enough to see it slip into the water on our way back past it. It sounds scary but it seemed tame enough at a distance though we did paddle out of that area a little faster. Once we got back to the main part of the cenote it was a straight shot back to the entrance and the natural current carries you along so we decided to jump in and snorkel all the way back. The water visibility was unreal. The color of the water and the fish and crabs underwater were amazing. We saw plenty of divers but we were the only paddle boarders that morning. By the time we wrapped up around 10:30 there were a lot more people coming in to snorkel and dive so we were very happy to have gotten the early start. The water was warm and comfortable even when we first got in at 9. We were both a little nervous going into this but not only were we more than pleasantly surprised with the whole experience, but now we plan to come back and not just snorkel but finally start learning how to scuba. This is the perfect place to begin to learn and the setting couldn’t be better or more beautiful. If you book with Extreme I’d definitely ask Marco to hook you up with Christian as your guide. Super chill, warm and energetic. Great conversation and totally up to cater to what you want to check out and at your pace.

GREAT TIME DOING SUP AT CASA CENOTE

Had a great time on the Cenote tour with our great guide Roby. He picked us up at our hotel and was very knowledgeable about the area. A true Mayan! The water at the Cenote is amazing and he gave us plenty of time to take pictures. He had a waterproof bag for our camera gear which we really appreciated. He took us for a great snack in town afterwards. A+ would recommend.

Paddleboard Cenote Tour: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Tulum.

How much does Paddleboard Cenote Tour cost?

+

Prices start at $110 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Tulum usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Paddleboard Cenote Tour take?

+

Plan for about 3 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Tulum is not rushed.

Is Paddleboard Cenote Tour worth it?

+

It holds an Outty Ranking of 57 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 6 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Tulum, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Paddleboard Cenote Tour?

+

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Paddleboard Cenote Tour suitable for kids and families?

+

The operator sets a minimum age of 10. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 3-hour running time when deciding.

How far in advance should I book Paddleboard Cenote Tour?

+

Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Tulum can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

+

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Tulum and add a light layer if any part of the 3-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Paddleboard Cenote Tour start and how do I get there?

+

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Tulum within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Tulum?

+

On Outty we rank every Tulum experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Tulum Ruins, Turtles in Akumal and Cenote tour, Tulum Guided Tour, Magical Cenote, Lagoon Snorkeling and Beachside Lunch, Chichén Itzá, Cenote and Valladolid with Lunch and transportation. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Tulum?

+

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Tulum?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
