Cycling tour of Wiang Kum Khan
We love cycling and ancient history, so this was ideal for the two of us whilst on holiday here in Chiang Mai. Our guide from Bike Valley Rides was very knowledgeable and familiar with the local area making our tour both interesting and enjoyable.

A great day!
We went on a pleasant half day bike tour (7D) with Chaing Mai Mountain Biking and Kayaking. We were delighted to be the only two on the tour! Given that we were both recovering from colds, the generally flat terrain was the perfect level of exertion for us. We enjoyed the history and the scenery. Guide Danai and driver "Doh"? were both excellent. We were picked up promptly at our hotel and driven to the office to sign the usual waivers and pay a very reasonable price. The mountain bikes were in good working order. We were given helmets, gloves and a backpack with which to carry our water. Doh lead the way and was the absolute best leader I have ever had. He was cognizant of our speed and adjusted faultlessly. He gave easy to see and understand hand signals just when needed and made it easy to know what to do in the thick of Chaing Mai traffic. Danai, bringing up the rear, provided additional guidance and safety in traffic, so there was not a moment's worry. They were solicitous, kind and friendly. We enjoyed our time greatly and would consider going with this company again!

Rural Cycling Tour
We had a fun time seeing the historic sights of Chiang Mai with Koong and Palm. The tour was their "7D" tour which I reckon anyone who can ride a bike could do. They are chilled, easy going guys who make the trip enjoyable. The great thing about cycling the sights is that it's not just about "destinations" but the sights, sounds, smells and experience of getting there that make it fulfilling. We've seen tourists on bikes cycling around the city but it's pretty intimidating without guides helping.

+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
