A fun and hard tour
ガイドさんはとても親切で楽しい人でした コースはダウンヒルもありますがアップヒルもあります ダブルやシングルもあります 景色も最高です おすすめします The guide was very kind and reassuring There were not only downhills but also uphills. The guide was as fast as an e-bike even on the uphill slopes. He took photos and videos The course, the views and the food are amazing. Along the way you can see chickens, sheep and cows up close Thank you very much I recommend this tour

Enjoyed every minute
Awesome trip, with friendly and helpful guides. Excellent day out! Totally recommend this company to anyone looking for an ace day out doing techy MTB. 10/10!

Great ride in Chiang Mai.
I had a fantastic day of riding with Bas-definitely was a challenge, but Bas was a capable and knowledgeable guide, and we had a blast! Although you are descending from a mountaintop, there are certainly some tough climbs as well. We had several short stops to admire the scenery and look at the foliage, but there was several hours of riding. We enjoyed a lakeside lunch, and then rode the 15kms into town and back to the shop.

Good experience but equipment needs a refresh
I did the Old Smugglers Route with my son and had a reasonable overall experience. The trail overall is good fun and our guide added to the enjoyment. Note though that there isn’t much real single trail at all, which is different to what we had been told. Most of the trail is through jeep track with only a small bit of genuine single trail at the end. The bikes also need a serious refresh. The bikes have seen better days and not of the quality needed to have the most fun from a day like this. We had several issues with a warped wheel, brakes, suspension and gears. Overall though, there doesn’t seem a lot of other choice in Chiang Mai right now, so if you’re keen to explore the trails, it’s a reasonable option.

The Old Smugglers Route - XC Downhill # 3 - A great mix of single and double track.
The Chiang Mai Mountain Biking & Kayaks is conveniently located in the old city. I visited the shop before I signed up for the scienic ride #3. The staff recommended this route as the best trip for XC and views. The tour does not begin until late in the morning. It was after 10 am when we left. Too late for the heat in the mountains. The staff was very accommodating to those guests who need to change tours dependent on skill level. After a long and winding shuttle ride to the top of the mountain we geared up. The knee and elbow pads are very tired and don't stay in place. The bikes were not in any better shape. Treck and Kaze. The forks are shot and headsets were loose. Brakes were also hit and miss. The guides did their best to address some issues. The trails are a great mix of jeep double track and single track through the jungle. The XC trails are definately not maintained but fun none the less. It would be a slip and slide in the rainy season! The guides were a lot of fun and very knoledgeable about the area. The working condition of the bikes here is terrible for a XC/DH adventure. The only maintence seems to be a bit of oil on the chain. I passed on the full DH day due to the condition of the rental equipment.

The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
No.1 Chiang Mai: Advanced Downhill Mountain Biking, Suthep N.Park: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Chiang Mai.
How much does No.1 Chiang Mai: Advanced Downhill Mountain Biking, Suthep N.Park cost?
+
Prices start at $2300 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Chiang Mai usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does No.1 Chiang Mai: Advanced Downhill Mountain Biking, Suthep N.Park take?
+
Plan for about 6 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Chiang Mai is not rushed.
Is No.1 Chiang Mai: Advanced Downhill Mountain Biking, Suthep N.Park worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 62 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.6/5 across 58 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Chiang Mai, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule No.1 Chiang Mai: Advanced Downhill Mountain Biking, Suthep N.Park?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is No.1 Chiang Mai: Advanced Downhill Mountain Biking, Suthep N.Park suitable for kids and families?
+
The operator sets a minimum age of 11. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 6-hour running time when deciding.
How far in advance should I book No.1 Chiang Mai: Advanced Downhill Mountain Biking, Suthep N.Park?
+
Around 20 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Chiang Mai can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Chiang Mai and add a light layer if any part of the 6-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does No.1 Chiang Mai: Advanced Downhill Mountain Biking, Suthep N.Park start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Chiang Mai within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Chiang Mai?
+
On Outty we rank every Chiang Mai experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Half-Day Thai Cooking Class at Organic Farm in Chiang Mai, Full Day Thai Cooking at Farm (Chiang Mai), Thai and Akha Cooking Class in Chiang Mai. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Chiang Mai?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Chiang Mai?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
