Exciting day out!
A really good day out the guides were very helpful and able. The track was good for me but fairly difficult for beginners ok if you take it steady. The lunch was nice by the lake. All safety clothing supplied was in good condition as were the bikes would recommend. Only complaint no chance to see the video taken on the way down.

Absolutely amazing!!!
After booking I was immediately informed by the owner (Adon) that there will be a slight change to the route which was accepted. I was picked from my hotel by A (tour guide)and Rin (driver)really cool and welcoming guys. Cycling with A was amazing, it was cycling with a mate, we had so much fun and laughter that it didn’t seem like a tour. A’s friendly demeanour, character and knowledge are simply priceless. Overall, I’m glad I booked Chiang mai mountain biking and kayaking. Highly recommended!
Response from the operator: Thank you very much for the great review. The photos are great but they all would better serve at the alternate trip that we did that day which is : Chiangmai best XC Forest Mountain Biking 22 km + Sticky Waterfall. Thank you and happy trails.

Downhill adventure
This was a fun day if you can ride a mountain bike on gravel trails. It's mostly downhill except for one 400m significant uphill. Bike is good and safety gear was adequate. Lunch good, bring your own electrolyte drink and snacks for energy.

Bouncy but fun run
The guides are really friendly and professional. Spoke English well. The bikes are hard tales and the run is not smooth at all so your body acts as the shocks instead of the bike. I’m an experienced mountain biker and I would say it’s likely an easy run for Thailand but it will be most enjoyable if you have a little experience. If you have your own helmet use it, theirs are a little shady. It’s steep terrain with switch backs and a little uphill/flat. My watch clocked it at about 15kms. I got a little woozy going up in the truck. But over all it’s a super fun run and worth it. Beautiful views along the way.

Why this scores 63
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
No.1 Chiang Mai: Epic Doi Suthep Downhill MTB Adventure: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Chiang Mai.
How much does No.1 Chiang Mai: Epic Doi Suthep Downhill MTB Adventure cost?
+
Prices start at $2300 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Chiang Mai usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does No.1 Chiang Mai: Epic Doi Suthep Downhill MTB Adventure take?
+
Plan for about 9 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Chiang Mai is not rushed.
Is No.1 Chiang Mai: Epic Doi Suthep Downhill MTB Adventure worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 63 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.5/5 across 122 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Chiang Mai, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule No.1 Chiang Mai: Epic Doi Suthep Downhill MTB Adventure?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is No.1 Chiang Mai: Epic Doi Suthep Downhill MTB Adventure suitable for kids and families?
+
The operator sets a minimum age of 8. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 9-hour running time when deciding.
How far in advance should I book No.1 Chiang Mai: Epic Doi Suthep Downhill MTB Adventure?
+
Around 43 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Chiang Mai can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Chiang Mai and add a light layer if any part of the 9-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does No.1 Chiang Mai: Epic Doi Suthep Downhill MTB Adventure start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Chiang Mai within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Chiang Mai?
+
On Outty we rank every Chiang Mai experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Half-Day Thai Cooking Class at Organic Farm in Chiang Mai, Full Day Thai Cooking at Farm (Chiang Mai), Thai and Akha Cooking Class in Chiang Mai. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Chiang Mai?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Chiang Mai?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
