(Not so leisure) flat but fun ride
Our guide Danai is experienced and friendly, and he guided us through less travelled path to be immersed in nature. We did have to cycling among the traffic until we reach Chiang Mai University, and depending on the fitness level, the ride can be challenging (we cycled about 45 km in total). Highly recommend to wear cycling shorts if you have a pair

Terrific country and lakeside bike ride
This was an excellent bike ride up to the lake, our guide Ay was super friendly and brightened the day even more. The bike ride was low in difficulty however it is is not for absolute beginners, you will be cycling for at least a few hours.

Great adventure mountain bike ride
I was upgraded to another tour, much more challenging but I loved it! Be sure to check the level of your bike ride because the one I ended up on was well above other peoples level in my group, ( my original choice sounded much more sedate 🤣) but luckily there were alternative rides offered. Sticky waterfall is worth a visit for sure but the muddy mountain bike ride was my highlight. Great tour guides too.

Above Chiang Mai Oxygen ride
What a great day spent with Jay, our guide who spoke great English and answered our endless questions. We choose the easy family ride which involved being driven to the top of Doi Pui. We cruised down the mountain stopping at a Hill Tribe village, beautiful Wat Suthep Temple and delicious lunch in a local restaurant. Did we mention that Jay is a world recognised trail runner! such a fun day.

Biking to Huay Tung Tao with Students
We had a great time last November doing a small cycling trip to Huay Tung Tao. We had a group of about 20 students. The bikes were all in a good condition, set up individually for all our students. We cycled to the lake and around it, then took a rest and ate lunch at one of the many restaurants overlooking the lake. Once we recharged a little, we made our way back to the Convention Centre. I hope we can do it again soon, thanks!
Response from the operator: I am happy your school class had a good time riding with us out to the lake and back. (Trip 7B) See you again Aidan .

"No.1 Chiang Mai: Leisure Bicycle Ride to Lake Huay Tueng Tao": questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Chiang Mai.
How much does "No.1 Chiang Mai: Leisure Bicycle Ride to Lake Huay Tueng Tao" cost?
+
Prices start at $1750 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Chiang Mai usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does "No.1 Chiang Mai: Leisure Bicycle Ride to Lake Huay Tueng Tao" take?
+
Plan for about 4 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Chiang Mai is not rushed.
Is "No.1 Chiang Mai: Leisure Bicycle Ride to Lake Huay Tueng Tao" worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 55 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.5/5 across 11 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Chiang Mai, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule "No.1 Chiang Mai: Leisure Bicycle Ride to Lake Huay Tueng Tao"?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is "No.1 Chiang Mai: Leisure Bicycle Ride to Lake Huay Tueng Tao" suitable for kids and families?
+
The operator sets a minimum age of 7. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 4-hour running time when deciding.
How far in advance should I book "No.1 Chiang Mai: Leisure Bicycle Ride to Lake Huay Tueng Tao"?
+
Around 4 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Chiang Mai can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Chiang Mai and add a light layer if any part of the 4-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does "No.1 Chiang Mai: Leisure Bicycle Ride to Lake Huay Tueng Tao" start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Chiang Mai within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Chiang Mai?
+
On Outty we rank every Chiang Mai experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Half-Day Thai Cooking Class at Organic Farm in Chiang Mai, Full Day Thai Cooking at Farm (Chiang Mai), Thai and Akha Cooking Class in Chiang Mai. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Chiang Mai?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Chiang Mai?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
