  3. Piazza del Popolo

Piazza del Popolo is where grandeur meets symmetry—an impressive, open-air masterpiece that feels like stepping onto a historic stage. Framed by twin churches and crowned with an ancient Egyptian obelisk at its center, this majestic square once served as the grand northern entrance to Rome. 4. Castel Sant'Angelo

Castel Sant’Angelo is a true Roman icon—part fortress, part palace, part legend. Built originally as Emperor Hadrian’s mausoleum, it later served as a papal refuge and military stronghold. At night, the castle glows with golden light, reflecting off the Tiber River like something out of a fairytale. As you pass by, you’ll see the towering statue of the Archangel Michael atop the fortress, watching over the city. It’s a surreal mix of power, beauty, and mystery that feels straight out of a Dan Brown novel.

The shadow of Giordano Bruno’s statue looms in the center—a reminder of the square’s dramatic past, where he was executed for his radical ideas. Surrounded by bars, trattorias, and glowing facades, this square offers a raw, authentic slice of Roman nightlife. Expect laughter, clinking glasses, and that unmistakable Roman vibe in the air.

    20 minutes here

Definitely five stars

Our experience was fantastic, Liz was our tour operator, and she was fabulous. She was knowledgeable, her English was impeccable. And we truly enjoyed our tour.

We never got to the...

We never got to the pickup point due to attendance at wrong location. 4 police and 5 taxis drivers said we at the proper location but they were all wrong

Response from the operator: We’re sorry you missed the tour. As you mentioned, you were not at the correct meeting point. Our staff tried to reach you several times by phone, but unfortunately your phone was switched off and we couldn’t assist you in time. The meeting point information is clearly stated in the booking confirmation and on Viator. We always recommend guests to double-check the location in advance to ensure a smooth start to the tour. We hope to have the chance to welcome you on one of our tours in the future.

Such a fun time!

We had a great time with our guide. She was very knowledgeable and fun. She spent tons of time with us and never rushed us, took pics for us - we had a great time with her. The pickup was a little confusing but we got it figured out. She was great and we had a great time. Really cool way to see lots of sites without walking them all - plus it was neat to see at night.

Response from the operator: Thank You! We are glad you liked it!

Excellent tour around Rome at Night in a golf cart!

If you want to see the wonders of Rome, at night is the best time! Even better, is on a golf cart! Travel in Rome tour company provided the cart, and Stefano our driver was excellent! His knowledge, wit and charm made for a wonderful night around the new and old parts of Rome. We stopped at all the must see spots where we were afforded time for photo ops and commentary on the significance. Stefano brought us to an excellent pizzeria, which made the best Napolitano pizza! That is a bold thing to say since there is a pizzeria every 30 feet in Rome, but we’ve tried many, and this one is the best we’ve had. We then stopped at award winning Gunther Gelato Italiano. Now we know why it is award winning! Not to be missed while in Rome! Stefano was an excellent host and driver, so when in Rome…take a golf cart tour at night with Stanfano, you’ll be happy you did!

Response from the operator: Thank you so much for sharing your amazing experience with us! We're thrilled you enjoyed our Night tour in Rome by Golf Cart with Prosecco Gelato and Gift. Stefano clearly did a fantastic job showing off Rome's wonders at night - his knowledge, wit, and charm really made the tour special. We're glad you loved the stops at the must-see spots, the Napolitano pizza, and award-winning Gunther Gelato Italiano! We hope you'll tell friends about your Rome golf cart tour experience!

Night tour in Rome by Golf Cart with Prosecco Gelato and Gift: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Rome.

How much does Night tour in Rome by Golf Cart with Prosecco Gelato and Gift cost?

+

Prices start at $125 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Rome usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Night tour in Rome by Golf Cart with Prosecco Gelato and Gift take?

+

Plan for about 2 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Rome is not rushed.

Is Night tour in Rome by Golf Cart with Prosecco Gelato and Gift worth it?

+

It holds an Outty Ranking of 54 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.5/5 across 10 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Rome, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Night tour in Rome by Golf Cart with Prosecco Gelato and Gift?

+

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Night tour in Rome by Golf Cart with Prosecco Gelato and Gift suitable for kids and families?

+

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 2-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Night tour in Rome by Golf Cart with Prosecco Gelato and Gift?

+

Around 4 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Rome can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

+

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Rome and add a light layer if any part of the 2-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Night tour in Rome by Golf Cart with Prosecco Gelato and Gift start and how do I get there?

+

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Rome within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Rome?

+

Rome runs on skip-the-line access. The Colosseum underground, the Vatican before opening, and the catacombs south of the walls all require a licensed operator, and the price gap between the good ones and the rest is smaller than you would expect. We rank by guide credentials, group size and how reliably the promised access actually materialises. On Outty we rank every Rome experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Rome Pasta and Tiramisu Class: Ravioli, Fettuccine & Fine Wine 5*, Pasta Making & Wine Tasting with Dinner in Frascati from Rome, Rome: Pizza & Tiramisu or Gelato Class with Flowing Fine Wine 5*. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Rome?

+

April, May, September and October. August is hot and half the city is shut. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Rome?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
