A Wonderful Way to Experience Rome at Night

Night tour of Rome with local pizza dinner and Gelato experience. The illuminated Colosseum, the Pantheon and the Trevi Fountain look very different from the day before. The atmosphere of the night was very lively. The pizza at the local restaurant was very tasty and I also enjoyed the Gelato at the end. The guide explained the information in a simple way and the whole tour was conducted beautifully. It would be nice to have a few more minutes in some places. All in all, it's a great trip to enjoy the night of Rome.

Response from the operator: Thank you for sharing with us your experience, it's important for us We are glad to hear that your experience was good, this is our goal and we always work to improve our tours for the best For the shared tours we carefully plan the time spent at each site to ensure that all guests have the opportunity to admire the landmarks, take photos, enjoy the experience and have the itinerary on schedule for everyone. Our driver-guide usually does his best to accommodate each guest's needs even if that means extending the tour beyond its scheduled duration

    Honestly, it was...

Honestly, it was overpriced. The driver would just drop us off and then we have to tour ourselves. It wasn’t like the reviews I’ve seen on here before the food was good but everything else I wish was better. You might as well tour everything yourself.

Response from the operator: Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We truly value every review, whether positive or negative, as it helps us improve our services and provide a better experience for our future guests. We were, however, surprised by your rating. During your experience, our driver was happy to accommodate your requests, and later that evening, after he had already finished his shift and was on his way home, you contacted us because you had left a personal belonging in the vehicle. Although it was 11:50 PM, he immediately turned around and personally returned your item to you. He did this without requesting any additional payment or compensation, simply because we always try to provide the best possible service to our guests.

See Rome at night - an unforgettable experience!

What can I say - Luigi ( our tour guide) gave us a gem of an evening! Food was exceptional. Then we drove to many locations ( Trevi fountain, Spanish steps .. ) where our had time to explore while Luigi waited for us back at the van. This 3 hour tour was 4 hours that’s to Luigi , our tour guide, helping us explore this beautiful city at our pace. Such a special night! Highly highly recommend! Seeing the city at night is super fun. And I hope you get Luigi for your tour guide - if so a fantastic night awaits you!

Response from the operator: Thank you for choosing to spend your evening with us and for taking the time to leave such a lovely review. We're delighted to hear that you enjoyed the experience, from the food to the beauty of Rome at night. It's especially rewarding to know that you appreciated the relaxed pace of the tour and had the opportunity to truly enjoy each stop. Your kind words about Luigi mean so much to us, and we'll be sure to pass them along. He'll be happy to know he helped make your visit to Rome so memorable. We hope to see you again on your next trip to Italy!

Night Tour of Rome with Local Pizza Dinner and Gelato Experience: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Rome.

How much does Night Tour of Rome with Local Pizza Dinner and Gelato Experience cost?

    +

Prices start at $80 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Rome usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Night Tour of Rome with Local Pizza Dinner and Gelato Experience take?

    +

Plan for about 4 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Rome is not rushed.

Is Night Tour of Rome with Local Pizza Dinner and Gelato Experience worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 74 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.4/5 across 791 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Rome, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Night Tour of Rome with Local Pizza Dinner and Gelato Experience?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Night Tour of Rome with Local Pizza Dinner and Gelato Experience suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 4-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Night Tour of Rome with Local Pizza Dinner and Gelato Experience?

    +

Around 277 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Rome can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Rome and add a light layer if any part of the 4-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Night Tour of Rome with Local Pizza Dinner and Gelato Experience start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Rome within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Rome?

    +

Rome runs on skip-the-line access. The Colosseum underground, the Vatican before opening, and the catacombs south of the walls all require a licensed operator, and the price gap between the good ones and the rest is smaller than you would expect. We rank by guide credentials, group size and how reliably the promised access actually materialises. On Outty we rank every Rome experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Rome Pasta and Tiramisu Class: Ravioli, Fettuccine & Fine Wine 5*, Pasta Making & Wine Tasting with Dinner in Frascati from Rome, Rome: Pizza & Tiramisu or Gelato Class with Flowing Fine Wine 5*. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Rome?

    +

April, May, September and October. August is hot and half the city is shut. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Rome?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
