Wonderful Tour - highly recommended!

I went on this Tour spontaneously after doing a free Walking Tour in Kathmandu First. This experience was truly stunning and the Moment of the Sunset with all the Himalaya mountain range in Front of you is Just incredible! We did a little Hike for approximately 2,5h Afterwards and my Guide showed me Lots of little mountain villages and told me many Stories and facts about the culture and History of this Region. If you dont want to do the Hiking you can also skip this Part or Just do half of the hike. We also went for a local breakfast which was super tasty and stopped to See Bakhtapur on the way Back. It was a perfect Tour and I would really recommend it to anyone!

It was truly a wonderful day exploring the serene hills of Nagarkot, the Changu Narayan Suspension Bridge & Bhaktapur.

Sobit is such lovely young man. He was very polite and helpful and had lots of expert knowledge about Kathmandu, and wider Nepal. He, was a very good driver.

an amazing trip, definitely will come back

I want to sincerely thank Sobit for the organization! everything was on the highest level: from accommodation to the guiding. he told me everything about Nepali culture, knew answers on all my questions about temples etc.Sudan Karki was my guide for a 3-day trek, he was very nice and optimistic, helped with everything, served food and was really kind. with him you won’t get bored during your trip, knows everything about mountains, highly recommend him as a guide! After a trek we went to Chitwan, where a guide Harry was able to notice animals from a mile and recognized types of birds only by the sounds they made, that’s impressive. Sobit is always ready to answer my messages and help me to solve any problems. 11/10, i’m more than satisfied with this trip. i’m sure i’ll come back and ask Bald Himalaya to organize one more trip for me. thank again!

Beautiful Nagarkot Sunrise Tour with Great Hospitality

I am Basanta, a Nepali who has been living in Portugal for 17 years, and I returned to Nepal last April (2024) for a memorable experience with Bold Himalaya's guide, Sobit. The Nagarkot sunrise tour was truly mesmerizing, with breathtaking views of the snow-capped Himalayan range that I still vividly recall. The hospitality provided by Sobit was exceptional—warm and welcoming throughout the journey. After soaking in the stunning scenery at Nagarkot, we returned to Bhaktapur, where Sobit shared fascinating insights into its rich history. His detailed explanations made the experience even more enriching.

Outstanding trip

Met Sobit through his brother Suresh during a recent visit to Nepal. We did a small trek with an overnight to Nagarkot with a stop to Bhaktapur on the way back to Kathmandu. Sobit is very knowledgeable about Nepal's fauna and flora, as well as Nepal's history. During the trek, the views of the Himalaya peaks started to come into view. We stayed at the Viewpoint Hotel and caught sunset and sunrise. The next morning, we hiked to a lookout tower with the best views yet. The trekking part of the trip ended with a pleasant and informative stroll through the countryside. We concluded the trip with a history lesson at Bhaktapur. This was a nice was to close out our time together by seeing some truly amazing Nepalese history. All during our two days together, Sobit was very attentive to anything I might have needed. In fact, he personally saw me off to the airport and provided a parting gift of a Nepalese hat that I mentioned liking - a very thoughtful gesture. Really can't say enough positive things about Sobit and the two-day experience. Highly recommend and wouldn't hesitate to use Bold Himalaya again.

Nagarkot Sunrise with Oldest Temple Visit from KTM: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Kathmandu.

How much does Nagarkot Sunrise with Oldest Temple Visit from KTM cost?

+

Prices start at $5 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Kathmandu usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Nagarkot Sunrise with Oldest Temple Visit from KTM take?

+

Plan for about 6 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Kathmandu is not rushed.

Is Nagarkot Sunrise with Oldest Temple Visit from KTM worth it?

+

It holds an Outty Ranking of 78 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 16 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Kathmandu, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Nagarkot Sunrise with Oldest Temple Visit from KTM?

+

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Nagarkot Sunrise with Oldest Temple Visit from KTM suitable for kids and families?

+

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 6-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Nagarkot Sunrise with Oldest Temple Visit from KTM?

+

Around 6 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Kathmandu can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

+

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Kathmandu and add a light layer if any part of the 6-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Nagarkot Sunrise with Oldest Temple Visit from KTM start and how do I get there?

+

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Kathmandu within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Kathmandu?

+

On Outty we rank every Kathmandu experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Private Kathmandu Sightseeing Tour | UNESCO World Heritage sites, Classic Everest Base Camp Trek, Manaslu Circuit Trek. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Kathmandu?

+

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Kathmandu?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
