    Living History

My girlfriend and me visited Vienna this summer and decided to partake in the long beautiful history this city has to offer. After researching the various tour offerings, we settled on Austria Tours and Travel because Hernando and Lisa seemed so warm and open during our inquiry of their service. The money was well spent. The day was full of adventure, fun, and history that the duo make come alive through their energetic and creative presentation of the subject. Their knowledge of the modern city landscape, paired with its history, made the experience even more enjoyable. I highly recommend this tour, especially if you want to get a look behind the curtain of what makes Vienna such a spectacular city, full of charm and living history.

Response from the operator: Hello! Thank you SO much for your kind words, I'm so happy you had a great time with us!! Have a wonderful day! All the best, Lisa

My friends and I recently took a trip to Vienna, and when I say this is the best way to get around I mean it. The tour guide was super nice and polite, we had such a good time. No regrets at all!

Response from the operator: Hi Abby, Thanks so much, we're so happy you and your friends had a great time! Thanks again, Lisa

    What a great tour

Lisa picked me and my wife up from our hotel and we could immediately see that we were dealing with someone who carries out his profession with absolute love and dedication. We went on a museum trip to three Viennese museums. The Art History Museum, the Albertina and the Belvedere. We were very impressed by Lisa's knowledge, her background information and above all her sense of humor. We had booked them for three hours and they flew by. Who knows that Klimt's lifelong friend Emilie Flöge, who was considered Klimt's partner for many decades, was not. In fact, Lisa told us, the two had only a brief passionate affair. The sister-in-law, Klimts, and the owner of one of Vienna's most modern fashion salons, ended the relationship after a short time when she realized that Klimt would never commit to a single woman. Lisa is full of such information and whenever we come to Vienna in the future, Lisa is booked.

Response from the operator: Hallo! Vielen lieben Dank fuer dein nettes Feedback! Ich hatte auch sehr viel Spass mit euch zwei! Danke nochmals und schoenen Tag! Sonnige Gruesse aus Wien, Lisa

Museum Hopping in Vienna: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Vienna.

How much does Museum Hopping in Vienna cost?

    +

Prices start at $1158 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Vienna usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Museum Hopping in Vienna take?

    +

Plan for about 4 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Vienna is not rushed.

Is Museum Hopping in Vienna worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 51 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 5 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Vienna, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Museum Hopping in Vienna?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Museum Hopping in Vienna suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 4-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Museum Hopping in Vienna?

    +

Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Vienna can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Vienna and add a light layer if any part of the 4-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Museum Hopping in Vienna start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Vienna within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Vienna?

    +

On Outty we rank every Vienna experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Authentic Vienna Food Tour inc. lunch, street food, 3 drinks, Vienna Food Tour: Coffeehouses, Markets, Lunch & Street Food, Budapest Small-Group Day Trip from Vienna. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Vienna?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Vienna?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
