    Great day trip from Zurich

This Mount Titlis and Lucerne day trip from Zurich was an amazing way to experience Switzerland in one day. We started with a scenic stop in Lucerne, with time to explore the charming old town, before continuing to Engelberg. The rotating cable car ride to Mount Titlis offered incredible panoramic views, and the Ice Flyer chairlift over the glacier was a standout experience. Crossing Europe’s highest suspension bridge was thrilling, and the snow tubing added a fun, memorable touch. Our tour guide, Thanasis, was great — knowledgeable, friendly, and gave us additional Recommendations for our stay in Zurich. 10/10 tour and highly recommend!

Response from the operator: Thank you for your great review! We’re thrilled you enjoyed the Mount Titlis and Lucerne day trip and all the unforgettable experiences along the way. We’ll be sure to share your kind words with Thanasis, and we hope to see you again on another tour in Switzerland!

    Not worth the money

Don't waste your money or time by booking this tour. There is no tour or any information given. You are shuttled to Lucerne and given a pick up time. You see the city on your own with no help. Then you are shuttled to Mt. Titlus where again you are given zero information. You should book a train, bus or taxi and save your money. Our driver John talked on the phone for multiple hours instead of talking to us. He also added stops to pick up other people and drop them off extending the drive time and shortening our time to visit attractions. Bc of this we missed the lion statue and rushed the Mt. Very disappointing. This "tour" is expensive but you only get the transport and Mt. Titlus ticket. Totally not worth it.

Response from the operator: Dear Guest, Thank you for your feedback. We’re sorry to hear that the tour did not meet your expectations. We apologize for the lack of information and any inconvenience caused by the additional stops and time constraints. This is not the experience we aim to provide. We take your concerns seriously and will address the issue with our driver to ensure better service in the future. We appreciate your input and hope to improve for future guests. Kind regards

    Well happy

Look, ultimately these guys are chauffeuring you about and arranging a ticket up the mountain. But they facilitated an absolutely magical day for us and made the various steps very clear. It helped take the stress out of the day. We really cannot recommend this tour enough. My face is hurting from laughing. Plus we were treated to a bizarre but lovely musical treat on our way home. Mount Titlis was magnificent, we got the gold ice flyer option, and didn’t regret it but our favourite part aside from the truly breathtaking views was the mini tabbogans (in place of snowtubing) absolutely brilliant fun! Although hubby lamented not having the rubber rings. We found the ice cave pretty underwhelming to be honest. Just a tip, if you’re on limited funds, take a packed lunch, the food is eyewateringly expensive!

Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your delightful review! We're thrilled to hear that you had such a magical day and that we could help make the experience stress-free and enjoyable for you. It’s wonderful that you had fun and lots of laughs along the way—we love hearing that our guests leave with such positive memories! We're glad you took the Gold Ice Flyer option and enjoyed the breathtaking views, as well as the mini toboggans—what a fun choice! We agree, they’re a brilliant alternative to snow tubing. Sorry to hear that the ice cave didn’t quite meet your expectations, but we’ll keep that in mind for future feedback. And yes, we absolutely agree with your tip about bringing a packed lunch—food prices can be a bit steep, especially at mountain locations! Thank you for highly recommending the tour, and we hope to welcome you back for another adventure soon! Best regards, The Keytours Team

    Family Experience

The driver dropped you off 10 minutes away from the city center in an industrial area in Lucerne. 😡 Then when we arrived at the mountain the activity we paid for was closed. On the bus the bathroom was broken . So I wouldn’t recommend this trip

Response from the operator: Dear Madam, We’re very sorry to hear about your experience. Thank you for bringing these issues to our attention. We understand how disappointing it must have been to be dropped outside the city center, encounter a closed activity, and have an unusable bathroom on the bus. Your feedback is important, and we will address these points to improve future trips. KInd regards

    The excursion was lovely,...

The excursion was lovely, but negatively impacted by the weather (several things closed at the top of Mt Titlas because of the wind). The time in Lucerne was great - the driver gave us a quick orientation for where things were then set us free to explore. The drive between Lucern and Mt Titlas was especially beautiful. The things we could do at the mountain were great. The gondola rides were beautiful, the ice cavern was fun and we had a lovely meal at the restaurant. I would definitely consider this excursion again, although would probably wait to the last minute to book until I have a better idea of the weather.

Response from the operator: Thank you so much for taking the time to share such a thoughtful review. We’re delighted to hear that you enjoyed your day. It means a lot that you would consider joining the tour again. We hope next time the skies are clear, everything is open, and you get to enjoy Mt. Titlis to its fullest. We’d love to welcome you back when the weather is on your side! 🌄❄️

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Zurich.

How much does Mount Titlis Cable Car with Ice Flyer and Lucerne from Zurich cost?

    +

Prices start at $222 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Zurich usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Mount Titlis Cable Car with Ice Flyer and Lucerne from Zurich take?

    +

Plan for about 10 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Zurich is not rushed.

Is Mount Titlis Cable Car with Ice Flyer and Lucerne from Zurich worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 59 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.1/5 across 14 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Zurich, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Mount Titlis Cable Car with Ice Flyer and Lucerne from Zurich?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Mount Titlis Cable Car with Ice Flyer and Lucerne from Zurich suitable for kids and families?

How far in advance should I book Mount Titlis Cable Car with Ice Flyer and Lucerne from Zurich?

    +

Around 5 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Zurich can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Zurich and add a light layer if any part of the 10-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Mount Titlis Cable Car with Ice Flyer and Lucerne from Zurich start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Zurich within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Zurich?

    +

On Outty we rank every Zurich experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Zurich Food Tour with 10 Local Delicacies, Cheeses & Chocolates, Private, excellent guided tour of Zurich (from CHF 21/pers.), Zürich Historic District Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Zurich?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Zurich?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
