Mardi Himal Trek

We did the 4 day Mardi Himal trek, which was super! It's a really nice mix of forest and mountain trekking. We didn't have the clearest weather but did manage to see some peaks at the top. Our guide Madan was excellent, he made sure we were looked after very well and was a super nice guy! Would definitely recommend Mosaic and will use them again next time we are back. Thanks again Madan and Mosaic

Response from the operator: Thank you for this. Mardi Himal is a hidden gem and even with the clouds playing their part, those glimpses of the peaks at the top make it all worthwhile. Madan has a knack for making every trekker feel genuinely well looked after and we are glad that came through for you. We will pass your thanks along to him. Looking forward to having you back next time.

Professional Team

My husband and I did the Mardi Himal trek with Purna as our guide and Ram as our porter, arranged by Mosaic Adventure. It was well organized and most of the credit for such an incredible trip goes to our guide and porter. Thank you!

Response from the operator: Thank you Leena for the great review. We are glad to read review like this and it definitely help us work harder to provide great service to all the trekkers.

Nepal and Bhutan

We booked a tour of Nepal and Bhutan which includes visits to Kathmandu and Pokhara along with a trek to Mardi Himal in Nepal. Additionally, we explored Paro, Thimphu and hiked to Taktsang Monastery during our time in Bhutan with Mosaic Adventure. Our initial communication with Madhav was really helpful and timely. Our guide in Nepal Ramesh Adhikari and our guide in Bhutan Pratap Subba, were both amazing. They were professional, friendly and extremely helpful. They were flexible enough to add some attractions that were not part of the original plan. Flexibility is important while visiting these countries and our group really admired it. Thank you Team Mosaic for arranging a great holiday for us during our visit to Nepal and Bhutan. Hopefully, we'll be back again soon.

Mardi Himal Trek

We had an excellent trek to Mardi Himal, led by our fantastic guide Nabin, who is now like a friend to us after the trek :). While we have experienced some shorter treks back home, this is our first more extended high altitude trek in Nepal. As first-timers in high altitude, we opted for the 4-day Mardi Himal trek instead of a longer one. We were delighted with our choice and equally pleased with Mosaic Adventure for organizing it. The four days were truly wonderful, filled with beautiful views and accompanied by a great guide and porters. We are looking forward to returning soon for a trek to Annapurna Base Camp with the same team.

Mardi Himal trek with Mosaic Adventure!!!

Our guide (Keshab), most amazing, supportive, friendly & knowledgeable trekking guide we’ve ever had. He guided myself and my friend through a five days trek and we couldn’t wipe the smiles off our faces, we had amazing conservation with each other and learnt so much, he constantly checked in with us and kept a comfortable pace the whole time. So many unforgettable memories, highly recommend Mr. Keshab!!! The Mardi Himal trek nature is popping throughout the whole trek, the trek is noticeably marked, the views from each tea house we stayed at were so beautiful, every meal we ate was perfect & the beautiful people we met along the way at each tea house. I will be booking my future treks through Mosaic Adventure!!! Thanks, Mr. Raj (owner).

Mardi Himal Trek: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Kathmandu.

How much does Mardi Himal Trek cost?

+

Prices start at $510 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Kathmandu usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Mardi Himal Trek take?

+

Plan for about 120 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Kathmandu is not rushed.

Is Mardi Himal Trek worth it?

+

It holds an Outty Ranking of 73 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 13 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable outdoors in Kathmandu, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Mardi Himal Trek?

+

Yes. Cancel free up to 72 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Mardi Himal Trek suitable for kids and families?

+

The operator sets a minimum age of 12. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 120-hour running time when deciding.

How far in advance should I book Mardi Himal Trek?

+

Around 5 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Kathmandu can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

+

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Kathmandu and add a light layer if any part of the 120-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Mardi Himal Trek start and how do I get there?

+

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Kathmandu within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Kathmandu?

+

On Outty we rank every Kathmandu experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Private Kathmandu Sightseeing Tour | UNESCO World Heritage sites, Classic Everest Base Camp Trek, Manaslu Circuit Trek. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Kathmandu?

+

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Kathmandu?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
