    They call below 6000 “hills”

The best two weeks I have probably experienced. The views from the start are unbelievable and only get more extraordinary as you go. Completely immersed within the mountains and the locals, feels like you’re walking through an untouched-by-tourist valley. Our guide was Indra Pokhara. He was like a dad to us because he treated us like our sons. There were just two of us in the group and he made sure we felt full, energised and happy the whole way. He was even prepared to to lose sleeping hours (on a night where we were only getting 4 hours maximum) when one of us fell sick with altitude sickness. He was selfless and caring whilst still being fun and making great conversation. Absolutely recommend him to anyone. I’m so happy to have done this trek this early in my life, and I can be 100% certain I will travel this way again.

Amazing time, Ram was the best guide ever

If you are thinking about trekking in Nepal I highly recommend this trek above all others. It is less crowded than doing Everest and it takes you through more places than Annapurna. I was very happy with the company and glad I chose them. Communication was very good and airport transport was my biggest worry but it was super easy. Since I came solo I had a lot of one on one time with my guide, Ram. Ram was the best guide I could have asked for, he was very knowledgeable and very friendly. He was always making sure I was doing ok and enjoying my time on the trek. Ram is also an amazing singer if you want some live music with your trek. If you do this trek, ask for Ram as a guide, he was amazing and I still talk with him today. Overall it was an amazing experience and I suggest that you do this trek, it was challenging but rewarding. Plus you meet people from all over the world. If you are stuck choosing what or where or who to go with, do this trek, you won’t be disappointed.

Manaslu Circuit and Nar Phu Valley Trek

Amazing experience doing the Manaslu Circuit and Nar Phu Valley with Outfitter Nepal. We were able to customize the trek to our liking and got a private trek as we were a group of 4. We had a great conversation from day one and also got a great and experienced guide with Indra. The combination of the Manaslu Circuit and Nar Phu Valley with 2 high mountain passes ticked all the boxes. Both treks differ quite a lot and provide everything the Himalayas have to offer. Outfitter took care of everything. (Transportation, free rental equipment, organizing all the teahouses and making every stay at a teahouse go smoothly.)

    Manaslu Circuit

We had a wonderful trip with our guide Hari and the porters Rohan, Saroj, Ganga and Rajan. We had some great laughs and we were completely overwhelmed by the great Himalayan mountains. The company of Raj was very flexible which was much appreciated. After our trekking we wanted to spend some days in Pokhara. They took care of our hotel and made sure some of our stuff we still had in Kathmandu was sent to the hotel in Pokhara. Would definitely recommend booking your trekking in Nepal with Outfitter Nepal Treks and Expedition.

Response from the operator: Namaste Alex, Thank you very much for your wonderful review and for sharing your experience with us. We are truly delighted to hear that you had such a memorable trekking adventure in Nepal with our team. Your kind words about your guide Hari and our porters Rohan, Saroj, Ganga, and Rajan mean a lot to us. They are all hardworking, friendly, and dedicated team members, and we are very happy to know that you enjoyed your time together and shared many great moments during the trek. The Himalayas always leave a special impression on our guests, and we are glad you were able to fully enjoy the beautiful mountain scenery and experience. We also appreciate your kind comments about our flexibility and support during your stay in Nepal. We always try our best to help our guests in every possible way, both during and after the trek, so we are very happy that arranging your Pokhara stay and transferring your belongings went smoothly for you. Thank you once again for choosing Outfitter Nepal Treks and Expedition for your Himalayan adventure and for highly recommending us. We truly hope to welcome you back to Nepal again in the future for another unforgettable trip. Best regards, Raj

Manaslu Circuit Trek: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Kathmandu.

How much does Manaslu Circuit Trek cost?

    +

Prices start at $1150 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Kathmandu usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Manaslu Circuit Trek take?

    +

Plan for about 336 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Kathmandu is not rushed.

Is Manaslu Circuit Trek worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 78 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.9/5 across 48 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Kathmandu, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Manaslu Circuit Trek?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Manaslu Circuit Trek suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 336-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Manaslu Circuit Trek?

    +

Around 17 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Kathmandu can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Kathmandu and add a light layer if any part of the 336-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Manaslu Circuit Trek start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Kathmandu within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Kathmandu?

    +

On Outty we rank every Kathmandu experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Private Kathmandu Sightseeing Tour | UNESCO World Heritage sites, Manaslu Circuit Trek, Kathmandu Food and Drink Walking Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Kathmandu?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Kathmandu?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
