About this experience

Nepal's most exciting treks to Manaslu (8,163 m), the world's eighth-highest peak, are also the most dramatic and beautiful, with Himalayan peaks, scenic valleys, remote pastures, traditional villages, and ever-changing scenery. The remoteness of this trek is its main selling point when compared to other popular treks in Nepal. Trekking the Manaslu Circuit in Nepal is a privilege that only a few travelers have each year. Trekking in the Manaslu region became available in 1992. You will be trekking through a restricted area in Nepal that requires expensive permits to enter. Wonderful Trekking Experience with a Local, Family-Run Company

This is a local family-run company. From the very beginning, they were very attentive and made everything easy for us. They offered the trek at the best price I could find. We did the Manaslu Circuit trek, and our group had to postpone it at the last minute because one of us fell ill. They were very flexible and understanding about it, which we really appreciated. Once we finally started, we were lucky to have Sameer as our guide. He was amazing: always positive, thoughtful, and joyful to be around. He really cared about our wellbeing, helped when one of us was struggling, and always made sure we were comfortable. His choice of tea houses along the route was excellent, and he remained flexible with our plans depending on how we felt each day. They also lent us some equipment we needed for the trek, which was very convenient and saved us time and money. The company offers a well-located and very clean apartment for rent at a very accessible price, which was very useful before and after the trek. They also took care of my luggage while I was out traveling — a big help. I highly recommend this company to anyone looking to trek in Nepal — you’ll be in the best hands.

Great Adventure with Roshan and Sudip

Trekking with Roshan (Guide) and Sudip (Porter) was really experiencing the Nepalese saying “Guest is God“ - we have been so lucky having these two guiding our journey!! Roshan always had a really good awareness for our needs (e. g. breaks for photos and relaxation) and was really flexible in tour planning, always knowing the best places to stay, walking alternative parts to avoid crowds, being connected super well with locals and within hiking scene and having a great knowledge about culture and mountains. He did magic handing out the items we needed the most in the middle of the mountains (when ours went out), always very caring and absolutely reliable, even after officially finishing our trek. Sudip bravely helped us out with carrying and reveals very good knowledge about mountains and animals - knowing for example how to stop donkeys from crossing the bridge we were on by doing a single whistle. We laughed a lot together and had a very good mutual understanding. We would always ask them again to guide us! Also we really can recommend adventure glacier treks because Diwakar and Dil (directors) were very friendly and flexible about our wishes - a family run business that not only cares for clients but also for the people working for them. Thank you very much for everything. धन्यवाद Hannah and Constantin

Manaslu Circuit Trek 8th Highest in the World: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Kathmandu.

How much does Manaslu Circuit Trek 8th Highest in the World cost?

+

Prices start at $1600 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Kathmandu usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Manaslu Circuit Trek 8th Highest in the World take?

+

Plan for about 336 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Kathmandu is not rushed.

Is Manaslu Circuit Trek 8th Highest in the World worth it?

+

It holds an Outty Ranking of 73 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.9/5 across 15 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Kathmandu, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Manaslu Circuit Trek 8th Highest in the World?

+

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Manaslu Circuit Trek 8th Highest in the World suitable for kids and families?

+

The operator sets a minimum age of 16. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 336-hour running time when deciding.

How far in advance should I book Manaslu Circuit Trek 8th Highest in the World?

+

Around 5 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Kathmandu can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

+

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Kathmandu and add a light layer if any part of the 336-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Manaslu Circuit Trek 8th Highest in the World start and how do I get there?

+

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Kathmandu within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Kathmandu?

+

On Outty we rank every Kathmandu experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Private Kathmandu Sightseeing Tour | UNESCO World Heritage sites, Manaslu Circuit Trek, Kathmandu Food and Drink Walking Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Kathmandu?

+

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Kathmandu?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
