    About this experience

The tour begins with the backdrop of the 15th c Guildhall and the magnificent Wren designed church of St Lawrence Jewry; we discover that we are in London's Jewish ghetto The tour plots the route of Jewish people’s arrival in Britain from medieval times through to the vibrant street scene of Brick Lane. Along the way, you will find out about the persecution and expulsion of Jewish people under King Edward I and the later readmission under Oliver Cromwell. We will follow the path of the Eastern European Jews escaping from the pogroms of the 1800’s and their integration into British society and culture. We also encounter the horrors of the holocaust and the stories of ingenuity and sacrifice behind the Kindertransport memorial. We will celebrate the Battle of Cable Street of 1936 when the local community stood shoulder to shoulder to prevent the fascist movement from marching through the Jewish East End. We will visit London’s oldest synagogues and stroll down Petticoat lane.

    Jewish East End Tour

David communicated well before the tour began. David arrived at our hotel precisely on time. He was thoughtful by providing us with snacks and water. David demonstrated patience while driving through busy London traffic. David showed us many of the features of the Jewish East End that are hidden in plain sight bearing witness to the past Jewish presence and influence. He went well beyond that by sharing secular, historical elements of the city of London. Overall, this was an interesting and enjoyable tour you do not want to miss.

Response from the operator: Thank you so much for the wonderful review! I'm thrilled to hear you enjoyed exploring the rich history and hidden gems of the Jewish East End. It was a true pleasure hosting you! Warm regards, David

    Jewish London Experience

Wonderful tour made fabulous by David. We could not possibly have had a better tour guide. We obtained an insightful understanding of the Jewish history in London as a result of David’s research and personal experiences during his life in London. Highly recommended.

Response from the operator: Hi Michael, Thank you for the wonderful review and feedback on the Jewish East-End tour. Warmest regards, David

    Worthwhile tour

David was a great guide and a very friendly and professional driver. We got everything we expected in this tour and a couple of bonus sites (Jack the Ripper and Harry Potter). Some of the scheduled places were quite moving and others wete very enlightening.

Response from the operator: Hi Ronald, I'm so pleased that you both enjoyed the tour, and thank you for your amazing review and feedback. Warmest regards, David

London's Jewish East-End.: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for London.

How much does London's Jewish East-End. cost?

    +

Prices start at $380 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in London usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does London's Jewish East-End. take?

    +

Plan for about 4 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in London is not rushed.

Is London's Jewish East-End. worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 55 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 8 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in London, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule London's Jewish East-End.?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is London's Jewish East-End. suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 4-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book London's Jewish East-End.?

    +

Around 3 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in London can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in London and add a light layer if any part of the 4-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does London's Jewish East-End. start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central London within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in London?

    +

London's best attractions split cleanly: the museums are free and need no booking, so the paid market is about views, theatre and getting out of the city for a day. That makes value scoring unusually important here, and the Outty Ranking penalises anything charging premium prices for access you could get for nothing. On Outty we rank every London experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Soho Music & Historic Pubs Tour, London Small Group Tour of Historical Pubs, The Great British Rock and Roll Walking Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit London?

    +

May to September for long evenings, December for the Christmas markets. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in London?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
