About this experience
This is a fascinating bike ride, free of traffic, with a maximum group size of 7 people, along a charming river with plenty of stops to admire some of South London's most beautiful parks, wildlife, waterwheels, a local market, cottages, churches and an ancient village that became part of London. You will also stop at a marvelous 17th century pub for lunch/refreshments. An enthusiastic local guide, who has been living in the area for over 20 years, will meet you at his hundred- year- old house and lead you along winding paths on this 4 hour/12 mile/20km long relaxed ride through a mesmerising part of London where once a church stood as big as Westminster Abbey and a King was crowned. Are you ready to enter a peaceful world of lush greens and serenity? Only a short distance away from the busy centre of London a different world is waiting for you.

Captivating cycling through extensive parklands in a less known area of London
exceptionalyu interesting and rewarding trip seeing parts of London which are not well known except to locals. The guide was very helfpul, friendly and informative. The cycling [10 miles in total] was not demanding but nevertheless gave one a fair amount of exercise. I cannot recommend this offbeat adventure highly enough and have recommended it to my friends

Fantastic biking experience
Stefan provides an amazing experience on a ride 20 minutes outside of central London starting in the borough of Collier Woods. His bikes are in great condition and quality bikes, both mountain and gravel bikes. About 14 miles with multiple stops and the ride is flat, mostly along a little river. Stop at a pub for lunch and great discussion. Very helpful to be experienced biker as that allows Stefan to optimize your experience. Definitely recommend if you are a biker and want to experience green outdoor London.

Great bike tour
I was the only crazy Dutchy to book this tour on a grey Monday morning in December. Still great fun, been to Londen a few times but have never seen the sights we saw today. Stefan was great and knew a lot about the area. I imagine the tour to be even more appealing in spring, summer or early autumn. Really recommend it if you want to do something different in London!

A fun way to explore beautiful parks and gardens
An absolutely wonderful bike tour. We were looking for something outside the city, having done those bike tours a few times, and this was perfect. We rode on a bike trail that connected parks, gardens, and past mills and waterways. The pace was great, the scenery outstanding and Stefan was a fantastic guide. Highly recommend it for anyone who likes to explore new areas in an active way.

Great Experience
Great experience biking along parks on the outskirts of London - ~20k bike ride pausing to learn about the history of the buildings and the little towns. Would recommend to others visiting the area :)

Why this scores 80
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
London's Best Kept Secret Bike Tour: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for London.
How much does London's Best Kept Secret Bike Tour cost?
+
Prices start at $67 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in London usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does London's Best Kept Secret Bike Tour take?
+
Plan for about 4 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in London is not rushed.
Is London's Best Kept Secret Bike Tour worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 80 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.9/5 across 74 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in London, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule London's Best Kept Secret Bike Tour?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is London's Best Kept Secret Bike Tour suitable for kids and families?
+
The operator sets a minimum age of 15. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 4-hour running time when deciding.
How far in advance should I book London's Best Kept Secret Bike Tour?
+
Around 26 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in London can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in London and add a light layer if any part of the 4-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does London's Best Kept Secret Bike Tour start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central London within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in London?
+
London's best attractions split cleanly: the museums are free and need no booking, so the paid market is about views, theatre and getting out of the city for a day. That makes value scoring unusually important here, and the Outty Ranking penalises anything charging premium prices for access you could get for nothing. On Outty we rank every London experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Soho Music & Historic Pubs Tour, London Small Group Tour of Historical Pubs, The Great British Rock and Roll Walking Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit London?
+
May to September for long evenings, December for the Christmas markets. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in London?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
