    6. St. Paul's Cathedral

The first stop on our tour is an iconic symbol of London. Sir Christopher Wren's masterpiece took 35 years to build and today is one of the largest churches in the world. Incredibly, this towering domed cathedral was also the tallest building in London until the 1960s. Its construction between 1675-1710 was part of a rebuilding programme after the original cathedral located here was swept away in the Great Fire of London in 1666: With no fewer than seven chapels, countless statues and priceless art, as well as Europe's largest crypt, there are historical and religious treasures around every corner at St Paul's. Explore the history of the cathedral with your expert Guide who will bring its fascinating events to life. *Please note that St Paul’s Cathedral is closed to the public on Sunday. You will have a photo stop at St. Paul’s Cathedral and you will be spend longer in the Tower of London. *Please note: Entry includes for tour with separate guide option only

    7. Tower of London

Explore almost 1,000 years of history that began with the construction of a fortress and royal residence by William The Conqueror. The long history of 'The Tower' is one of imprisonment, murder and execution. The last person executed here was in 1941, and over the years spies, criminals and even queens have met their bloody end by the executioner's hand at the tower. The Tower of London is also home to the priceless Crown Jewels Collection. This glittering display of gems and gold includes the Star of Africa, the world's largest cut diamond, as well as a collection of crowns, robes, and other items of ceremonial regalia. It would be improper to fail to mention the tower ravens. Legend has it that at least half a dozen must stay within the bounds of the tower or the monarchy will fall. Unforgettable

What an absolutely fantastic experience touring Central London in a classic black cab, and it turned out to be one of the highlights of our trip! From the moment we were picked up, our guide made us feel welcome and completely at ease. The black cab itself added such a unique and authentic London touch—comfortable, spacious, and perfect for sightseeing without the fatigue of walking everywhere. What really made the tour exceptional was our guide, Ruben’s knowledge and storytelling. They didn’t just point out landmarks—they brought the city to life with fascinating history, fun facts, and little-known details you’d never get from a guidebook. Every stop felt meaningful, and the pace was perfect for our family, allowing us to explore, take photos, and truly enjoy each location without feeling rushed. In just four hours, we managed to see so many iconic sights while also discovering hidden gems tucked away from the usual tourist paths. This tour was ideal for our family. It was very informative, fun, and incredibly well-organized from start to finish. We would highly recommend Ruben for this experience to anyone visiting London. If you want a comfortable, insightful, and memorable way to see the city, a black cab tour like this is absolutely worth it!

    The Best Guides and Drivers

Everything was exceptional. Simon met us at the airport and we were pleased to find out that he was with us the entirety of our trip. He was accommodating, friendly, informative, and funny! We had a wonderful guide, James, who took us to see the changing of the King's Life Guard and all the sights in the area. He was also incredibly accommodating and informative. The next day, we had Andrew as our guide. I can't say enough but the thoughtfulness and patience he had with us. We learned so much and for our group of 5, multi-generation, it was a blast. I highly recommend this company for transportation, guidance, and a frictionless experience.

Response from the operator: Dear prsnyc2024 We would like to thank you for your kind words and for sharing it with the rest of the community. Our team works very hard to provide the best service and it makes us very happy that it reflected during your visit to our establishment. We hope you come visit us again soon! Thank you Oliver Simmons.

Oliver showed us around London for 2 days, and it was a very pleasant experience. Oliver is smart, and was kind enough to adjust his pace to our interests and walking pace. His knowledge of Westminster Abbey and St Paul’s and London in general is quite deep. The cars and drivers provided by Evans Evans were comfortable. Thanks to their rep Caroline for helping us with the schedule.

Response from the operator: Hi 1977Foodie, Thank you for taking the time to give us feedback. We are so glad to hear you had a 5 star experience with us. We will let Oliver know that he managed to make your day special, i'm sure he will be thrilled to hear your kind words. We hope to welcome you onboard with us soon! Best wishes Evan Evans

London In One Day Private Car Tour: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for London.

How much does London In One Day Private Car Tour cost?

    +

Prices start at $1102 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in London usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does London In One Day Private Car Tour take?

    +

Plan for about 8 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in London is not rushed.

Is London In One Day Private Car Tour worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 42 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 4 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable culture & history in London, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule London In One Day Private Car Tour?

    +

No. This experience is sold on a non-refundable basis, so only book a date you are confident about. Similar experiences in the city do offer free cancellation if flexibility matters more than price.

Is London In One Day Private Car Tour suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 8-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book London In One Day Private Car Tour?

    +

Around 1 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in London can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in London and add a light layer if any part of the 8-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does London In One Day Private Car Tour start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central London within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in London?

    +

London's best attractions split cleanly: the museums are free and need no booking, so the paid market is about views, theatre and getting out of the city for a day. That makes value scoring unusually important here, and the Outty Ranking penalises anything charging premium prices for access you could get for nothing. On Outty we rank every London experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Soho Music & Historic Pubs Tour, London Small Group Tour of Historical Pubs, The Great British Rock and Roll Walking Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit London?

    +

May to September for long evenings, December for the Christmas markets. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in London?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
