Interesting if you have the time to do it!

London is busy so it is generally faster to get to your destination by walking or taking the tube. Still, the commentary was interesting and often entertaining. I've used other Hop On and Off bus services. Big Bus is definitely the best. They announce each stop, the driver ensures the preprogrammed audio is in sink with where you are, and everyone was friendly.

Response from the operator: Hi Erin! Thank you for your wonderful feedback! We're delighted to hear you enjoyed the commentary and found it both informative and entertaining. It's especially great to know our team, drivers, and onboard systems helped make your experience a positive one. We truly appreciate your kind words and are honored to be your hop-on hop-off tour of choice. We hope to welcome you aboard again soon! Alexandra I. @ Big Bus Tours

London big bus is a scam

The blue route bus shows maximum points. But they are making fool of people the blue bus is looping between 33 and 47 . I sat for 3 rounds and same loop wasted my whole day. Fooling people and ripping them of there money. They are not taking the blue bus as on the route shown. Absolute scam. And the staff does not inform you clearly also and they regularly stop the buses with a breakdown reason. Total waste of money.

Response from the operator: Thank you for your feedback. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience you experienced with the blue route bus. Your concerns are important to us, and we will address the issues with our staff and service. We appreciate your patience and hope to improve your experience in the future.

    London

Good audio easy information about London. But slow access on and off the bus. Difficult to find the bus stop in the beginning. Pland attend a walking tour, but the bus was so delayed that we missed the tour. Fine route but complicated app.

Response from the operator: Thank you for your feedback. We're delighted to hear that you enjoyed the audio commentary and found the route informative. However, we're sorry that difficulties finding the bus stop, delays to the service, and challenges with the app affected your experience and caused you to miss the walking tour. We appreciate your comments and will share them with the relevant team as we continue working to improve our service. Thank you for choosing us! Daiana@BigBusTours

    To long in traffic -...

To long in traffic - driver just wanted to chat at each stop . Had to change buses for no reason. They said every 20 minutes for buses this was not the case. At one point sat for 20 minutes on bus for no reason .. waste of money - river cruise and eye were brilliant. This company had lots of employees around the stops but were not very helpful.

Response from the operator: Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We're sorry to hear that your experience didn't meet expectations. We understand how frustrating delays, extended waiting times, and bus changes can be, especially when you're trying to make the most of your day. We also regret that our team was unable to provide the level of assistance you expected. Your feedback is very valuable to us and will help us improve our services and the overall customer experience. We're pleased to hear that you enjoyed the river cruise and the London Eye, and we appreciate you bringing these concerns to our attention. We hope to have the opportunity to provide a better experience in the future. Daiana@BigBusTours

London Eye Ticket, Big Bus Hop-on Hop-Off Tour and Thames Cruise: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for London.

How much does London Eye Ticket, Big Bus Hop-on Hop-Off Tour and Thames Cruise cost?

    +

Prices start at $81 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in London usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does London Eye Ticket, Big Bus Hop-on Hop-Off Tour and Thames Cruise take?

    +

Plan for about 1.2 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in London is not rushed.

Is London Eye Ticket, Big Bus Hop-on Hop-Off Tour and Thames Cruise worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 48 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (3.6/5 across 387 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in London, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule London Eye Ticket, Big Bus Hop-on Hop-Off Tour and Thames Cruise?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is London Eye Ticket, Big Bus Hop-on Hop-Off Tour and Thames Cruise suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 1.2-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book London Eye Ticket, Big Bus Hop-on Hop-Off Tour and Thames Cruise?

    +

Around 135 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in London can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in London and add a light layer if any part of the 1.2-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does London Eye Ticket, Big Bus Hop-on Hop-Off Tour and Thames Cruise start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central London within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in London?

    +

London's best attractions split cleanly: the museums are free and need no booking, so the paid market is about views, theatre and getting out of the city for a day. That makes value scoring unusually important here, and the Outty Ranking penalises anything charging premium prices for access you could get for nothing. On Outty we rank every London experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include The Great British Rock and Roll Walking Tour, Soho Music & Historic Pubs Tour, London Small Group Tour of Historical Pubs. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit London?

    +

May to September for long evenings, December for the Christmas markets. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in London?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
