Getting a Feel for Lisbon
We did this tour on our second day in Lisbon and honestly, I kept thinking we should’ve done it on the first day. Cause it’s really nice to get a general feel of the city. You get to know a bit about Portuguese culture, go through the neighborhoods where Portuguese people actually live, see that whole neighborhood vibe, cafés, viewpoints, scenery, river... so you kinda get to know Lisbon from different sides. There’s also a really nice walk, with a bunch of stops, random little facts and stories about the places. So, if you’re just getting to Lisbon, I think it helps a lot to get a feel for the city. Oh, and we also got to ride the famous yellow trams, which the kids absolutely loved. It’s honestly pretty fun.

15 E Tram Pickpocket
Heads up: Tram 15 E is a magnet for pickpockets. A man tried to pickpocket me in a crammed tram and when I verbally acknowledged this in a loud voice, he started spewing expletives. When I left the train at the next exit, he shoved me out of the tram. Then, finally, other people spoke up. As part of his vitriol, he seemed to try to justify his actions by referring to me as a 'foreigner', not 'tourist'. Not good.
