Unforgettable memory at a fish market
Looking around a variety of fish and seafood at the lively market in the morning, we enjoyed learning about those names that the host atsushi-san told us. Today's experience will be an unforgettable memory for me.
Response from the operator: Thank you for choosing my tour. Great to hear that you enjoyed your journey to explore the fish market. You may find fish unique to that season, so please come visit me in other seasons as well!

Must visit Fish Market in Yokohama!
We really enjoyed the tour! It was so much fun! With the guild’s knowledge, we could learn things that you don’t know, and we were able to experience stuff you cannot get anywhere else. We highly recommend this tour!
Response from the operator: Thank you for choosing my tour. I am delighted to hear that you not only enjoyed the fish market itself, but also the behind-the-scenes stories of Japan's fishing industry and sea food culture. If your friends are visiting the Tokyo area, please let them know about this tour. This tour will run weekly starting in April. More opportunities!

Must experience this tour if you are a Sushi lover
I was really impressed by this tour. Atsushi is very knowledgeable about not only Sushi ingredients, but also fishing itself, fishing industry in Japan, and the history of fresh and dried maritime products. He actually sails and goes ocean fishing, then he cooks fish for himself, finally serves fish dish to his family and friends, so he knows what he is talking about. We walked around the Yokohama fish market and he showed me several types of seafood. We talked about fishing, Sushi preparation, and Japan culture and some Japan's history. His English is excellent since he lived in Canada for two years and he did quite a bit of overseas travel. At the end of the tour, we visited a typical Sushi Bar where I ate lots of sushi. Excellent experience! Some foreigners can visit this market, however you will never learn the truth of Japanese fish and Sushi story in English. I recommend this fantastic tour if you come to Tokyo or Yokohama region!
Response from the operator: Thank you for choosing my tour. I am very grateful to you for joining my tour and enjoying Japanese food culture. Please try other Sushi and Sushi toppings. Popular Sushi such as salmon and tuna are always available at any Sushi bar or restaurant, however there are some types of Sushi toppings that are available at certain season and are fatty. It is only available in consultation with the chef behind the counter in Japanese. Please let me know if you need help :-)

Why don't we go see a market known only to the locals?
I had a great experience to see rare Japanese fish, shellfish, vegetables, and most importantly, a tuna dismantling show with excellent explanations by our guide. This market is not explained in foreign languages, so an experienced guide is a must if you want to enjoy it more. The restaurant next to the market with fresh fish is also highly recommended. If you plan to do some shopping, it would be a good idea to bring some cash. The market opens every Saturday. This is a great option for tourists looking for a Saturday breakfast and a valuable experience.
Response from the operator: Thanks Yuki for choosing this tour. I am pleased to know that you enjoy my tour very much. You are rignt. It was unfortunate that some foreign visitors could not understand what market people are explaining to the audience in Japanese. That is why I recommend inbound visitors to choose this tour. I certify that you are now an expert of Sushi ingredients! Enjoy some different Sushi ingredients!

The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Yokohama?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Yokohama?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
