Langtang valley trek has been one of the most rewarding short treks available anywhere in Nepal. The east-west running valley is the site of some spectacular alpine scenery as well as being a great place to meet unique people. A minimum of one week is required but trekkers are well advised to add a few extra days for acclimatization and for side trips in the valley. Along our journey, you will walk through the Langtang National Park. Although wildlife is never easy to spot in a forest setting, here you get the chance to see some interesting animals and birds. Among those found in the park are monkeys, musk deer, Pika and the national bird of Nepal, the colorful Danphe. The Langtang valley trek can be started either from Dhunche or from Syapru Besi.

Team Korea to Langtang Tsergo Ri 5000m trekking
My journey this time was with three Korean people and one Nepalese guide, Ramesh, Porter Timtim, and Sunil. I hiked through the Langtang Valley and climbed to the summit of Chergo Ri 5000m. The team was strong, and Serpa and Porter spared no support and encouragement. It was a fun and rewarding experience. I send the best joy to everyone who joined this journey.

ONE OF THE MOST MEMORABLE BIRTHDAY TRIPS OF MY LIFE
The second time back to Nepal and choosing to explore the route Langtang Valley Trek almost two weeks with Ace Himalayas, Abex, Billy, and Alfi, well, one of the most accurate decisions. I really enjoy the trip, not to mention accompanied by the same cool guide, Kishore Dai, and helped by Porter Sakshyam and Kamal, well we mah instead asked to focus on the same beauty and comfort of climbing. There is no need to bite heavy bite, stay where, eat where, and so on, because everything has been provided Ace Himalayas and selected the most comfortable (especially always sought every stay, in the teahouses with attached bathroom & hot shower). The confusion is at least choosing a menu: eat dal bhat, chapati, pizza, or ramyeon another ramyeon. Along the way, whenever you ask about Langtang history, culture, or general knowledge, you can always tell and explain the same Kishore. Best you, Dai. And by chance, I had my birthday right in the middle of trekking. It turns out that Ace, Kishore, Sakshyam, Kamal, along with Abex & Billy and the kitchen team at Langtang Village, set up for a surprise. Huhu, it's so stunning. Thank you, guys. Thank you, Himalayan Ace. Hope to see you on another trip! Danyabat. Namaste!

One of the best Nepal Trip of my life
One of the best climbs after several climbs in the Himalayas. Good service from the Ace The Himalayan team who made it always back to Nepal and back using the services of Ace The Himalayan. Especially for our guide Kishore who has repeatedly been our guide since 2014. The travel arrangement, the selection of the best tea house, is the plus value of Team Ace the Himalayas. Can't wait to be back again soon.

Super Excellent! highlight of the trip KISHORE DAI THE BEST!
One of the best trips with excellent service SUPER EXCELLENT!! Our guide Kishore Dai, doing the work very well, starting from briefing with good English, nice and easy to understand, explaining various stories of the location, history, and a lot of other information well described when we ask, of course walking next to us and never leaving us, entertaining us with funny stories and playing magic cards, as well as BIRTHDAY SURPISE done very cool!! Kris / Kishore one of the BEST GUIDE who is always patient and willing to speak does not limit itself to us so we are comfortable telling about our journey during the climb. Don't forget the support team Samchak and Camel (sorry if the name is wrong), they are powerful people who bring our stuff very well. They always smile and help us. All the services provided were very good and once again, it was an impressive trip and experience. and LANGTANG is one of the best and most enjoyable tracks. WE ACED IT!!

The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Langtang Valley Trek: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Kathmandu.
How much does Langtang Valley Trek cost?
+
Prices start at $950 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Kathmandu usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Langtang Valley Trek take?
+
Plan for about 288 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Kathmandu is not rushed.
Is Langtang Valley Trek worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 67 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 11 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable culture & history in Kathmandu, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Langtang Valley Trek?
+
No. This experience is sold on a non-refundable basis, so only book a date you are confident about. Similar experiences in the city do offer free cancellation if flexibility matters more than price.
Is Langtang Valley Trek suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 288-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Langtang Valley Trek?
+
Around 4 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Kathmandu can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Kathmandu and add a light layer if any part of the 288-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Langtang Valley Trek start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Kathmandu within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Kathmandu?
+
On Outty we rank every Kathmandu experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Kathmandu Sightseeing | UNESCO World Heritage sites Private/Group, Manaslu Circuit Trek, Manaslu Circuit Trek: Private Group & Discounte Price. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Kathmandu?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Kathmandu?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
What is included in Langtang Valley Trek?

Not included: Lunch and dinner in Kathmandu; Travel insurance which covers emergency high-altitude rescue and evacuation; International airfare; and Nepal entry visa. Always check the voucher for the final list before you travel.
Does Langtang Valley Trek include hotel pickup?
+
Yes, pickup is offered, or you can meet at the start point instead from 3 listed pickup locations in and around Kathmandu. Be ready about 180 minutes before the start time.
What languages is Langtang Valley Trek offered in?
+
It runs in English. Pick your language when choosing a date and time, as not every departure runs in every language.
